In the present investigation we have developed a phytochemical study and detennined the biological activity of the aerial parts of a vegetal Peruvian species named Ephedra americana Known as "pinco-pinco". It grows in the highlands of Cusco-Perú, in the province of Calca, approximately at 3500 m.o.s.l. The powder of the sample was used to for the phytochemical screening in wich we identified the presence of alkaloids, phenolic compounds, flavonoids types, tannins, glicosydes, etc. By means of a solubility screening test, it was detennined that the secondary metabolites were moderately and highly polar.This was pruved by means of Thin Layer Chromatograpy. Also, a separation of the phenolic compouunds by Flash Column Chromatograpy has been performed, obtaining many fractions. We studied the aerial parts of Satureja sericea (goyal) of the Mallas community, Huari province, Ancash Region, used for diseases of the digestive tract due to its carminative and anti-inflammatory properties. The sample was dried under shade, powdered and the extract was obtained by maceration in ethanol. In solubility and phytochemical screening was observed large amount of phenolic compounds. It was confirmed the presence of four flavonoids by color reactions and precipitation; this flavonoids were isolated by thin layer chromatography to preparative-scale and their structures were elucidated by UV visible spectroscopy in ethanol and displacement reagents. The cytoprotective effect on the gastric mucosa was evaluated by oral administration of alcoholic extract in rats. It was also evaluated the gastric antisecretory effect of ethanol extract in rats subjected to pyloric ligation. Safe...

La muestra vegetal del presente estudio fue ubicada y recolectada en la ciudad de Calca, Cusco.

Realiza un estudio fitoquímico y la actividad biológica de la parte aérea de la especie vegetal peruana Ephedra americana, denominada comúnmente pinco-pinco. Se ubicó y recolectó la planta en el mes de mayo de 2001 en las zonas orginarias altoandinas del departamento del Cusco, en la provincia de Calca aproximadamente a 3500 msnrn. Utiliza una muestra en polvo, para realizar la marcha fitoquímica. Realiza un estudio de tipo observacional, retrospectivo, transversal y descriptivo, que evaluó los datos consignados en las historias clínicas de 161 pacientes operados de quiste hidatídico hepático en el Hospital Nacional Arzobispo Loayza, en el periodo enero 1990 - abril 2000.

El presente estudio pretende dar cuenta de un aspecto de las vivencias de la población penitenciaria a partir de la descripción de lo que presos primarios han llamado La pensadora. Para obtener la información, se realizaron nueve entrevistas en un establecimiento penitenciario de Lima. Según los resultados, La pensadora se caracteriza por la presencia de pensamientos intrusivos que tienen como contenido situaciones donde el sujeto es impotente. This study analyzes the way in which Freud presents psychoanalysis as a science. From the review of the published work of Freud we would select and analyze the most important passages on the subject. Through this analysis we would be able to show that Freud presents psychoanalysis as a non-prototypical revolutionary science. We will show how Freud describes important features of his notion of psychoanalysis and its notion of science and that the fact that Freud present psychoanalysis as science does not necessarily refer to the clinical practice but rather to theoretical research.

Empleando las catáfilas externas de cebolla (Allium cepa L.) de las variedades roja arequipeña de producción convencional y “perita” amarilla orgánica como recurso, se obtuvieron nueve estructuras de flavonoides: dos flavonoles 3',4',5,6,7,8- hexametoxi-O-Azúcarflavonol y 4',5,7-trihidroxiflavonol conocido como kaempherol el cual es un potente antioxidante y siete flavonas: 3',4',5,8-tetrametoxi-ORflavona; 4',5,6,7-tetrametoxiflavona; 5,7, dimetoxi-6-O-Azúcarflavona; 5-hidroxi-6.7.8-trimetoxiflavona: 4',5,7-trihidroxi-3',6,8-trimetoxi-flavona; 3',4',5',6-trimetoxi-7-O-Azúcarflavona; 3',4',5,6,7,8-hexametoxi- 3-O-Azúcarflavona; y 3',4',6,7,8-pentametoxi-flavona. Los extractos deshidratados fueron añadidos a leche fluida y queso fresco, con notable éxito.

In the present investigation was evaluated the healing effect of the essential oil of Schinus molle L. “molle” to different concentrations, in comparison with a commercial product. The one was determined that the essential oil of the Schinus molle L. “molle”, mostly have monoterpenoids and sesquiterpenoids in ointment having as base solid petroleum jelly. The results mostrated what the product also has healing properties front to the wounds infected in the cattle, in which they healed of appropriate way; the carried out experiments in mice cepa Balb C 53, corroborated the mentioned experience, being the concentration to 2% that presented/displayed greater to be able healing front to the pododermatitis and reported subclinical mastitis.

In the last ten years, it's has been observed a technologic revolution in the low cost additive industry in which is involved the 3D printing open for a broad users universe that range from the same design industry to the diverse applications realized in primary, secondary and university education, and to prosthesis and organs development in medicine, dental pieces in odontology, fashion articles, architecture designs, automotriz industry parts and energy, and obviuosly, also in applied physics. In the present article, we present our direct experience on 3D printing, discussing about the fuse deposit modelling technique, FDM, for which we assembly two 3D prints and we talk about our 3D printing learning of objects designed for a Raman spectrometer using the OpenScad program, processing with Slic3r from Prusa and printed with g-code commands in the 3D printers assembled by us.

Senecio rufescens DC. is a South American Andean plant traditionally used to treat “altitude sickness” and gastrointestinal ailments. In the process of adaptation to extreme conditions, it developed its ability to biosynthesize secondary metabolites of great therapeutic importance such as phenolic compounds. Therefore, this research was developed with the objective of determining of total phenols, flavonoids, flavonols and the antioxidant capacity of the methanolic extract of the leaves and its fractions of n - hexane, dichloromethane, ethyl acetate and methanolic, respectively.
