An observational study was conducted to describe the presence of plagiarism in medical thesis in 2008 performed at a public university in Peru. Search for plagiarism in 33 thesis introductions using a Google search algorithm, characterizes of the study type and we search in electronic form if the thesis mentor have published articles in scientific journals. We found evidence of plagiarism in 27/33 introductions, 37.3% (171/479) of all the paragraphs analyzed had some degree of plagiarism, literal plagiarism was the most frequent (20/27) and journals were the most common sources of plagiarism (19/27). The characteristics of the studies were observational (32/33), cross-sectional (30/33), descriptive (25/33) and retrospective (19/33). El objetivo de este estudio fue determinar los factores psicosociales y los hábitos asociados con la dispepsia funcional (DF) en médicos internos en el hospital de apoyo Sullana-Piura II-2. Métodos: Este fue un estudio longitudinal prospectivo de 24 médicos internos que respondieron cinco encuestas: una encuesta de línea de base antes de comenzar sus pasantías médicas y otra encuesta al final de cada rotación. La prueba "Un nuevo cuestionario para el diagnóstico de dispepsia" se utilizó para el diagnóstico de la FD, y todas las pruebas utilizadas se validaron. Objetive: To describe features, preferences, and proposals from physicians that are preparing themselves to take the 2011 National Medical Residency Examination in Peru. Material and ethods: This is a descriptive study, considering a referential population including 4328 candidates, according to the 2010 National Medical Residency Examination. The Epidat 3.1 statistical software was used, with a 95% confidence limit, and a 5% precision value, and the simple size was established in 353 physicians. A self-applicable and previously validated questionnaire was previously used as a pilot in 20 candidates. Results: Of the 416 surveyed physicians (median age, 27 years), most of them come from provinces outside Lime (52.6%).
