The digital transformation of the audiovisual environment and its effects on the logic of creation, production and marketing of the communication industries has led to the emergence of new professional profiles in audiovisual communication studies in Spain. Specialists in this field identify three scenarios of professional specialization that universities should attend to in the training of future audiovisual professionals: (a) design, programming and development of applications and software; (b) digital marketing and management of video and audio platforms for online use; and(c) visual effects, virtual scenography and design of 3D characters and atmospheres. This study aims to identify the skills and abilities associated with each of these profiles by combining scientific literature, reports and studies with in-depth interviews with renowned professionals and professors.

El presente estudio tuvo como fin identificar la diversidad de helmintos parásitos de Scartichthys gigas (Steindachner, 1876) procedentes del Terminal Pesquero de Chorrillos, Lima, Perú. En total, se analizaron 215 peces, 147 machos y 68 hembras, colectados durante los meses de junio del 2013 a marzo del 2014, obteniendo una riqueza de seis especies de helmintos parásitos: los digeneos Zoogonus dextrocirrus, Lepocreadium trachinoti, Metamegasolena sp.; los nemátodos Proleptus sp, Pseudodelphis sp. y cistacantos del acantocéfalo Corynosoma obtuscens. Los digeneos Lepocreadium trachinoti, Metamegasolena sp. y el nemátodo Pseudodelphis sp. son nuevos registros para Perú.

Krameria lappacea (rhatany) is a well established medicinal and dye plant that is used since pre-Colombian times. In the last 15 years the biology, distribution and abundance of rhatany in Peru was investigated and methods for a sustainable wildcrafting were developed. The objective of this work was to investigate which factors limit the natural propagation and to explore whether the reseeding measures can contribute to the establishment of new plants in situ. Investigating the germination and in situ propagation, greenhouse trials showed that the seed burial is an important, limiting factor for the germination of K. lappacea und the germination rate can be increased (3—4x) by burying the seeds. The current article explains the relatinonship between the lack of State support, faculty mediocrity, democratic reason and technochratic reason in the Peruvian university in the last century. It presents the sequence of logic and conflict between the different discourses in the process of reform of higher education starting with the university movement in Córdoba, Argentina in 1918 to the present times. The article highlights the formation of democratic reason in the different moments of crisis and change in the university and states that this kind of reason is the possibility of giving a future to the production of knowledge in Peru.

This article addresses the counterpoint between the university and political power in Peru during the last hundred years. This power dispute, in the best and worst sense, will determine the course of this relationship. The university, mainly the public university, tries to position itself as a democratizing factor in the country while state power embraces changing attitudes: repression, abandonment, and privatization, to tame the rebellious and questioning impulses of university professionals. We analyze this issue focusing on the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, considering its tradition, importance, leadership, and decline. It is an unresolved counterpoint that continues among the many questions about the future of Peruvian democratization.

This article places the origin and development of the Peruvian Right as a neoliberal right over the period 1990-2020. The study delves into the roots of this political notion in Peruvian history, and compares it to previous rights. At the beginning of the examined period, during Fujimorism, it is an authoritarian right. Subsequently, it becomes a right that ensures the continuity of the model while it transitions to democracy. However, it is an unfinished transition as the neoliberal continuity promotes a limited democracy, represented by politicians but run by technocrats, and policed by large business owners. Arguments of this paper follow the cognitive view that recognize the mind as a symbolic representational and computational entity, defended by Jerry Fodor.

Este artículo trata del contrapunto entre la universidad y el poder en el Perú en los últimos cien años. Este asunto: la disputa de poder, en el mejor y el peor sentido de la palabra, es lo que va a determinar el decurso de esta relación. La universidad, en especial la universidad pública, tratando de ser un factor de democratización del país y el poder estatal, con actitudes cambiantes: la represión, el abandono, la privatización; buscando domesticar los impulsos rebeldes y cuestionadores de los universitarios. El portal de mira es la Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, desde su tradición, importancia y liderazgo, pero también desde su decadencia. Se trata, por lo demás, de un contrapunto irresuelto, que continúa una de las muchas interrogantes sobre el futuro de la democratización del Perú.

Krameria lappacea (ratania) ha sido utilizada y reconocida como planta medicinal y tintura vegetal desde épocas precolombinas. En los últimos 15 años se han estudiado la biología, propagación y abundancia de ratania en Perú y desarrollado métodos que garanticen una recolección silvestre sostenible. El objetivo de este trabajo es investigar qué factores limitan la propagación natural y evaluar si una resiembra de semillas durante la recolección puede facilitar el establecimiento de plantas nuevas in situ. Al investigarse la germinación de las semillas y la propagación in situ pudo comprobarse mediante experimentos de invernadero que el entierro de las semillas es un factor limitante para la germinación de K. lappacea y que la tasa de germinación puede incrementarse significativamente (3 – 4x) al enterrar las semillas.
