Introducción: Las infecciones de tracto urinario se encuentran entre las infecciones de mayor prevalencia en la parte clínica. Son un problema de salud global y se pueden presentar con o sin síntomas. Los agentes bacterianos aislados en mayor frecuencia son Escherichia coli, Klebsiella spp y Proteus spp. Objetivo: Caracterizar las infecciones de tracto urinario producidas por enterobacterias productoras de betalactamasas de espectro extendido en pacientes hospitalizados, Lima 2016-2018. Identificar la posible asociación de diabetes mellitus e hipertensión arterial como factores de riesgo de mortalidad en pacientes con COVID-19. Material y métodos: estudio de cohorte prospectivo, incluye a 1947 pacientes con 30 o más años de edad, atenciones realizadas entre marzo y agosto del 2020; pacientes con diagnóstico clínico y laboratorial de COVID-19; se excluyeron pacientes con inconsistencias en la información registrada, fallecidos en primeras 24 horas o estuvieron muertos al ingreso. Objective: To determine the variables associated with sedentary lifestyle in young students of a public institution of higher education in Lima-Peru. Materials and methods: An observational, cross-sectional, analytical, retrospective study. Data was collected from the students’ medical evaluation form and academic records. The sample consisted of 187 higher education students. Variables such as age, sex, weight, height, abdominal perimeter, academic term, academic performance and academic program were assessed. The students’ annual medical evaluation included answering the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ). Objetive: Compare anthropometric indicators in two primary schools in a rural and urban area with similar characteristics, to determine the trend of malnutrition and overweight in these areas. Material and Methods: Analytical - comparative, prospective cross-sectional study. The research included 159 children form the Acobamba school district (Huancavelica) and 280 children from the Carabayllo school district (Lima) from two public schools in an inner city and rural area. Objective: To identify the association between the body mass index (BMI) and serum lipid levels in adult people. Material and Methods: Observational, transversal and retrospective study. Non experimental investigation design. The population was conformed for people treated in private health centers in Metropolitan Lima. The evaluations of the BMI and the laboratorial tests to know the seric concentration of lipids were taken between October 2014 and October 2015. It was determined the association between the BMI and the seric lipid levels using the Chi2 test. People with comorbidity that could modify the seric levels of lipids were excluded. Objective: to know the level of knowledge about the etiology, symptoms, treatment and prevention of monkeypox disease in health professionals. Abstract   Objective: To determinate the complications that was occured to the patients with brain aneurysm rupture, at the Hospital Nacional Alberto Sabogal Sologuren from 2006 – 2014, during the pre-operative, intraoperative and postoperative period, we used a quantitative, observational, descriptive transversal and retrospective, study. Methods: We reviewed Clinical History who were operated of brain rupture aneurysm and who qualified of patients to be included. The data obtained was evaluated with complication graphics in three moments analized. Objetivos: Determinar las complicaciones que se presentan en el periodo preoperatorio, intraoperatorio y postoperatorio de los pacientes operados de aneurisma cerebral roto en el Hospital Sabogal de 2006 a 2014. Estudio cuantitativo, observacional, descriptivo, transversal y retrospectivo. Objective: To know the seroprevalence of Helicobacter pylori infection among an adult population of Lima, Peru 2017. Materials and methods: Descriptive, prospective, cross-sectional study. Population of volunteers older than 18 years, of both sexes, with or without general gastrointestinal discomfort. A screening campaign was carried out in the districts of Magdalena and Chorrillos in the city of Lima, Peru, in January 2017. For the diagnosis, CTK Biotech’s OnSite H. pylori Ab Combo Rapid Test CE was used. Results: One hundred forty (140) patients were evaluated, with a mean age of 36.6 years old, being 22.1% male and 77.9% female. The seroprevalence of Helicobacter pylori infection was 63.6%. Conclusions: We conclude that Helicobacter pylori infection is common in the city of Lima, with no difference between gender and age.

Objective: To determine the usefulness of cytology and visual inspection with acetic acid in the detection of neoplastic lesions of the cervix. Materials and methods: An observational, retrospective, descriptive and cross-sectional study. A population of female patients who attended the Centro Médico Oncomujer between 2013 and 2014 for a cervical cancer screening with Pap test and VIA was evaluated. Women referred for biopsy and with a positive result in one or both tests (Pap-VIA) were included in the study. Results: The mean age was 41.66 years old (range: 20-50 years). Objective: To describe the presence and the concentration of neutralizing antibodies at serum of healthcare professionals inoculated with the Sinopharm anti-SARS-CoV2 vaccine. Materials and methods: Descriptive and transversal research. A total of 117 healthcare professionals inoculated with two doses of the Sinopharm vaccine having quantitative data of neutralizing antibodies at serum (detected by eCLIA) were included. Age, sex, neutralizing antibodies concentration and previous diagnostic of COVID-19 diseases were the variables.
