Objective. To determine the relationship between physical abuse and emotional intelligence in children from an educational institution in Huancavelica.Methods.Observational, correlational, cross-sectional research; a sample of 48 children, between 10 and 13 years old, was taken; the psychometric technique, the semi-structured interview and the Likert scale were used. Results. The type of physical abuse is evidenced by the use of earpulling, hitting with a belt, hitting with the hand or slapping, kicking, hitting with a chicote, stick or rope, pinching and pushing. The mother appeared as the main aggressor, followed by parents and siblings. The abuse was severe by 24 %, moderate by 21% and mild by 13%. Girls were the least abused compared to boys. OBJECTIVE: To determine the relationship between the physical, psychological self-esteem and assertive- ness in children Educational Institutions in rural areas of the Parish of Huancavelica District 2010. METHODS: A quantitative, descriptive level, corre- lational design, descriptive methods, inductive -deduc- tive, population 22 students, non-probability sampling criterial. RESULTS: 45.5 % were boys and 54.5 % girls. 40.9 % suffered severe physical abuse, of which 4.5 % had high self esteem, high self-esteem trend 18.2 % , 13.6 % tendency to low self esteem and low self-esteem 4.5 % . Introducción. La equinococosis quística es una zoonosis parasitaria, producida por el Echinococcus granulosus; representa un problema de salud pública, con elevada carga económica. Objetivo. Determinar la asociación entre equinococosis quística en escolares y la equinococosis canina con los conocimientos, prácticas y actitudes, en el distrito de Ascensión – Huancavelica. Materiales y métodos. La investigación fue transversal, descriptiva correlacional. Se realizó un descarte serológico de equinococosis quística (Prueba de Elisa e Inmunoblot) a 811 estudiantes, de primaria y secundaria, y se les aplicó un cuestionario sobre conocimientos, actitudes y prácticas.
