RESUMEN Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre el conocimiento sobre los derechos del niño con el maltrato físico y psicológico en alumnos de la Institución Educativa La Victoria de Ayacucho de la Localidad de Huancavelica. Materiales y Métodos: tipo de investigación básica, nivel relacional, diseño no experimental, transversal, relacional; población 49 alumnos, técnicas empleadas encuesta y entrevista, instrumentos cuestionario y guía de entrevista. Resultados: los niños de 11 años fue en mayor porcentaje 46.94% y menor porcentaje los de 9 años 6.12%. El 100% fueron de sexo masculino. El 71.43% tienen un conocimiento bueno sobre derechos del niño, 24.49% conocimiento regular y 4.08% conocimiento malo. 57.14% (28) fueron víctimas de maltrato físico leve, presentándose en mayor porcentaje en niños de 11 años 24.49% (12) y en menor porcentaje en niños de 09 años 4.08...

METHODS: A quantitative, descriptive level, corre- lational design, descriptive methods, inductive -deduc- tive, population 22 students, non-probability sampling criterial. RESULTS: 45.5 % were boys and 54.5 % girls. 40.9 % suffered severe physical abuse, of which 4.5 % had high self esteem, high self-esteem trend 18.2 % , 13.6 % tendency to low self esteem and low self-esteem 4.5 % .
