Length–weight relationships (LWR) were estimated for seven fish species from the Napo River and its main tributaries, Arabela and Curaray rivers, Amazon basin, Peru. A total of 652 specimens were sampled between 2012 and 2014 using seines and gillnets. This study reports new maximum total length for four species and new LWR and maximum total weight records for three and five species, respectively.

En el presente estudio tuvo como objetivo evaluar el crecimiento de alevinos de banda negra Myleus schomburgkii, utilizando cuatro niveles de proteína bruta (23, 25, 27 y 29%) provenientes de la harina de sacha inchi Plukenetia volubilis (Euphorbiaceae). Para lo cual se utilizaron un total de 48 ejemplares de M.schomburgkii, los cuales fueron distribuidos en 12 jaulas flotantes con una densidad de siembra de cuatro ind./jaula. Los animales fueron alimentados diariamente durante 168 días, con una tasa de alimentación equivalente al 4% de la biomasa presente en cada jaula. Los peces de las dietas T1, T3 y T4 alcanzaron un peso promedio de 50.67; 51.50 y 51.42 g. los resultados muestran que los peces alimentados con la dieta T2 tuvieron un crecimiento superior obteniendo al final del experimento un peso promedio de 60.67 g. El cultivo en jaulas de banda, Myleus schomburgkii, alimentado con sacha inchi, Plukenetia volubilis, se realizó en el Centro de Investigación, Experimentación y Enseñanza- Piscigranja Quistococha de la Universidad Nacional de la Amazonia Peruana, ubicado en el km. 6 de la Carretera !quitos - Nauta, entre los meses de Agosto del 2008 a Febrero del2009. Se utilizaron un total de 12 jaulas de 1 m3 de volumen, se sembró banda negra a una densidad de 4 ind./jaula, con un peso promedio inicial de 26 g. y una longitud promedio de 10cm. The present work corresponds to a fish inventory, carried out between August and September 2019, in three sampling sites in the Pintuyacu stream, a tributary of the Itaya River basin, in the Peruvian Amazon. Based on 504 individuals analyzed, 117 species were identified, corresponding to 33 families and 8 orders. The most diverse order was Characiformes (65 species, 55.6%), followed by Siluriformes (31 species, 26.5%). At the Characidae family level, it presents the highest species richness with 24 species (20.5%). The most abundant species were Stethaprion erythrops (13.1%, 66 individuals), Knodus smithi (13.1%, 66 individuals) and Bujurquina peregrinabunda (6.2%, 31 individuals). Species for ornamental and consumer use were recorded. No threatened species were recorded and most were classified as Least Concern (LC), according to IUCN criteria.
