In this work the extraction of inulin from the tubers of Dahlia spp shown using ethanol as solvent crystallization, such tubers Lambayeque department underwent a process of heating, filtration, crystallization and drying to obtain achieving 12.85% dry inulin which made him recognition by determining some physicochemical properties. The inulin has many properties that can be exploited in several areas, the most remarkable properties those concentrating on the food industry for its ability to aid in the absorption of minerals like calcium and magnesium salts required for the body, and in the prevention of colon cancer by increasing the beneficial bacteria in the gut.

Many methods have been reported for the extraction of oils from microalgae, either for food, medicinal purposes and recently as feedstock to produce biofuels. For the production of biofuels such as biodiesel generally are used oilseeds which have shown to have many limitations due to the availability of land and water for cultivation, low crop yields and more so that seeds are used to food. For this reason in recent years have been studying the feasibility of the use of microalgae to produce biodiesel which can overcome the above limitations. Refined vegetable oils are nowadays used not only in food but also as a raw material in the production of biodiesel, this use has generated some controversy by different factors among which also have social environmental. On the other hand, large amounts of vegetable oils are discarded after use in food and fried foods such as pollutants considered waste which can be better utilized for the production of biodiesel but has disadvantages in lower costs and yields . Los aceites vegetales refinados son hoy en día utilizados no solo en alimentación, sino también como materia prima en la producción de biodiésel. Este uso ha generado cierta controversia por diferentes factores, entre los cuales se cuentan, además de los sociales, los ambientales. ULTRASOUND-ASSISTED EXTRACTION OF PHENOLIC COMPOUNDS OF THE PEEL OF SANKY (Corryocactus brevistylus)

The ultrasound-assisted extraction allows to recover bioactive substances in the agroindustrial waste, besides, is a fast, clean and friendly with the environment technique. The extraction of total phenolic components by ultrasound was carried out on the peel of the fruit of the sanky (Corryocactus brevistylus). This plant is a cactus that grows in the Andes of Peru and its fruit is used by the communities. The sanky peel reported: humidity 10,74 %; protein 9,19 %; ashes 14,75 %; 2,68 % fat; fiber 16,39 % and nitrogen-free extract 46,25 %. The sanky seeds reported 207,81 ppm of calcium, 39,36 ppm of iron and 9,4 ppm of zinc. For the extraction, three factors and each one in three levels were evaluated: solvent concentration (40 %, 50 % and 60 %), time (20, 30 and 40 minutes) and temperature (25, 35 and 45 °C).
