En la presente investigación se determinó el efecto inhibitorio in vitro, la Concentración Mínima Inhibitoria (CMI), Concentración Mínima Bactericida (CMB) y toxicidad sobre Artemia salina en condiciones de laboratorio de los extractos etanólicos de las hojas de Minthostachys mollis (Benth.) Griseb, Argemone subfusiformis Ownbey y Solanum americanum Mill. sobre Staphylococcus aureus y Klebsiella pneumoniae. Dicho estudio se realizó en tres etapas, en la primera etapa se identificó las cepas de S. aureus y K. pneumoniae, se obtuvo los extractos etanólicos de las hojas de dichas plantas y se preparó las diferentes concentraciones de los extractos etanólicos. This report presents 16 cases of neonatal necrotizing enterocolitis NEC). We reviewed the clinical picture and the laboratory results of our patients. According to the presentation time we divided our series in early and late variety, as in the literature previously reported. The risk factors were gestational age of 35 weeks or less, birth weight under 1500 g, low Apgar score, hematocrit higher than 65%, early artificial feeding, umbilical vessels' catheterization and abnormal intestinal colonization with pathogen germs. We consider very valuable serial abdominal X ray pictures and paracentesis for the diagnosis of chirurgic acute abdomen. (An Fac Med UNMSM 11 Epoca 1989; 1 (1-2): 15-18).

The incidence of asphyxia, meconium aspiration and trauma at birth increased the weight. The neonatal mortality rate in macrosomic was 8%, the cause of death related in particular to fetal size. Methods: Three Regional Forums were organized with participation of a group of experts at national level and a group of experts at each of the three regions involved in the intervention (Arequipa, Piura y Ucayali). Consensus on thematic content and event development methodology was obtained.
