Documenta la composición y abundancia de aves, registradas en los meses de marzo a setiembre del año 2014 en el territorio de la Comunidad Nativa Puerto Prado río Marañón; para ello se usó el método de transecto lineal y capturas con redes de neblina. Se registraron 181 especies, pertenecientes a 140 géneros, 40 familias y 19 órdenes, siendo 182 las especies esperadas de acuerdo a Clench y de 186 a 187 especies de aves para los estimadores no paramétricos. El índice de abundancia (ind/km) fue de 17.79 ind/km, mientras que el índice de abundancia (ind/hora-red) fue de 0.25 ind /horas-red, por su parte la densidad (ind/km2) de los órdenes Tinamiformes y Galliformes fue de 8.33 ind/km2.
