description La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar el nivel de conocimiento sobre el TDAH en docentes de una institución educativa particular en la provincia constitucional del Callao. Para ello, se desarrolló una investigación cuantitativa no experimental transversal, con un diseño descriptivo. La población estuvo conformada por 50 docentes: el 74% del sexo femenino y el 26% del sexo masculino, de edades comprendidas entre los 25 a 58 años. El instrumento utilizado fue el cuestionario para la valorización de conocimiento docente sobre TDAH (MAE - TDAH) el cual fue validado en Per ̇. Los resultados obtenidos evidenciaron que el 44% de los pedagogos se encuentran en el nivel alto respecto al conocimiento sobre el TDAH, en el nivel regular el 24% y el 32 % restante un nivel bajo. Se concluye que los docentes identifican los síntomas, diagnóstico y el papel importante que desempeñan dentro del aula. Sin embargo, no aciertan las causas que dan origen a este trastorno, por ello se recomienda que a mayor capacitación que se realice en la formación de los docentes, mayor información tendrán para poder conocer los síntomas y poder ayudar a niños que posean este tipo de trastorno.

For this purpose, a quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional research was developed, with a descriptive design. The population consisted of 50 teachers: 74 per cent female and 26 per cent male, aged between 25 and 58. The instrument used was the questionnaire for the assessment of teaching knowledge about ADHD (MAE - ADHD), which was validated in Peru. The results showed that 44% of the teachers are at a high level of knowledge about ADHD, 24% at the regular level and 32% at a low level. It is concluded that teachers identify symptoms, diagnosis and the important role they play within the classroom.
