Según los resultados se encontró que el conocimiento global sobre estimulación temprana en el pre test es de nivel bajo 64.4%, y en el pos test de nivel alto 84.4 %. Por dimensiones la intervención educativa incrementó el conocimiento sobre el área motriz, pasando de nivel bajo 86.7% a nivel alto 71.1%. Área cognitiva pasó de nivel bajo 82.2% a nivel alto 66.7%. Área de lenguaje de nivel bajo 88.9%, a nivel alto 75.6%. Área afecto-social, nivel bajo 86.7%, a nivel alto 73.3%. Como conclusión se tuvo que la intervención educativa es efectiva en el conocimiento sobre estimulación temprana, Se recomienda al centro de salud aumentar el número de intervenciones educativas y comprometer al personal de salud para impartir educación de estimulación temprana a las madres de los niños.

The study was experimental with pre and post test, the study sample consisted by 45 mothers, being the reliability of the instrument the Kuder Richardson test of 0.74. According to the results, it found a global knowledge about premature stimulation in the pre test the level of the mothers are low, 64.4%, and in the post test the level is high, 84.4%. For the effectivity of educatives intervention increase the knowledge about motor area, passing from the lowest level, 86.7%, to the highest level, 71.1%. The cognitive area passed from the lowest level, 82.2% to the highest level, 71.1%. The area of the language passed from the lowest level, 88.9% to the highest level, 75.6%. The area of social- affection, lowest level, 86.7% to the highest level, 73.3%. As conclusion, it obtained that the educative intervention is effective in relation to the knowledge about premature stimulation.
