El diseño del estudio es no experimental de corte transversal y de alcance descriptivo correlacional. Se aplicó la Escala para Determinar el Nivel de Violencia Contra la Mujer y el Cuestionario de Estimación del Afrontamiento (COPE). En cuanto a los resultados, se encontró una relación inversa y significativa (rho= -,147*) entre violencia hacia la mujer y estrategias de afrontamiento centrado en el problema en madres de familia. Se concluye que a mayor violencia hacia la mujer menor serán las estrategias de afrontamiento centrado en el problema.
