Research in academic literacy has shown that scaffolding improves the reading of disciplinary texts. Included among the considered variables is the lexica. A robust vocabulary will result in better reading performance. To verify this, a semantic priming task and a reading comprehension test were applied to 31 first-year pedagogy students to establish whether there is a correlation between lexical processing and reading. The main findings indicate the establishment of weak semantic relations and normal reading performance. It is concluded that better reading performance is associated with slower lexical processing, which would suggest that readers engage in strategic operations to address comprehension tasks. This will allow for the formulation of scaffolding actions that highlight the importance of mastering the disciplinary vocabulary in order to safeguard an adequate reading task.

This article analyzes one of the discriminatory discourses that has recently acquired special relevance in the Peruvian national context: cyberterruqueo. The aim is to carry out a descriptive analysis of the phenomenon —from the political-ideological and ethnic, racial and cultural perspectives—, and to study, in the context of cyberspace, the hegemonic representations that are discursively created with respect to certain sectors of the population. Methodologically, the study has an exploratory qualitative approach. The study of these representations was based on the occurrence of this phenomenon within the framework of the Twitter social network, and the data for the analysis were collected from Twitter. Among the results, it was found that cyberterruqueo functions as a tool of social annihilation and stigmatization that is based on negative representations in order to achieve the i...

ABSTRACT Health systems are designed to improve the health of the population and therefore require rapid identification of the most relevant events that affect it. Given this, they have seen the obligation and need for establishing surveillance systems that must be optimized permanently; to do so, they must identify the processes that must be monitored and evaluated. Key words: Health systems; Epidemiological surveillance; Identification of processes. (source: MeSH NLM) DOI: 10.25176/RFMH.v18.n3.1593

The paper presents the results of the analysis of technological education, namely the identification of educational technology and the technological process. It was found that most major technology creators transform both their ideas and their techniques into modern technological operations as well as educational technologies. The authors propose that the training process may be regarded as technological in nature and the one that embraces the same methods of analysis (including activity approaches). In other words, the analysis of the educational process is identical to the analysis of technological process. In methodological terms, the closest to that step sequence is project-based learning. The conclusion is reached by drawing on the analysis of training processes in general and on the analysis of operational training in particular including the step-by-step performance of certain tec...

This essay aims to identify the scriptural and semantic variations and linguistic processes in the morphosyntax of the terms quniraya, kumirraya, kuniraya, quñiraya, quniraya, -iraya. Corpora concerning quniraya were identified in Hispanic chronicles, 16th-century colonial dictionaries, and both historical and contemporary documents, which were then organized and compared to examine the writing, the processes that occurred within the word, and ultimately to determine its semantics. For this purpose, a textual record was utilized. After identification, the processes were analyzed and explained to verify phenomena such as syncope, fricativization, velarization, palatalization, suppression, apheresis, and pronunciation, among others. From these explanations, it can be concluded that these processes led to the loss of the word's sememe, but reconstructing the morphosyntactic structure and t...

WordNet-like resources are lexical databases with highly relevance information and data which could be exploited in more complex computational linguistics research and applications. The building process requires manual and automatic tasks, that could be more arduous if the language is a minority one with fewer digital resources. This study focuses in the construction of an initial WordNetdatabase for a low-resourced and indigenous language in Peru: Shipibo-Konibo (shp). First, the stages of development from a scarce scenario (a bilingual dictionary shp-es) are described. Then, it is proposed a synset alignment method by comparing the definition glosses in the dictionary (written in Spanish) with the content of a Spanish WordNet. In this sense, word2vec similarity was the chosen metric for the proximity measure. Finally, an evaluation process is performed for the synsets, using a manually...

The judicial process followed against César Vallejo is one of the most iconic cases of our legal system, as it not only resulted in the imprisonment of our universal poet but also took place when the foundations of our penal system were being reformed. In other words, the trial was an opportunity to demonstrate that our penal system evolved from an inquisitorial to an accusatorial system. Unfortunately, the opposite proved to be true: despite the change of code, the inquisitorial assumptions were unfairly applied against our universal poet with the purpose of ensuring his imprisonment during the instructive stage of the process, that is, before the relevant oral trial to determine his innocence. In this sense, this article seeks to demonstrate how the purpose of this first stage was undermined.

Objective. To identify limiting factors in the process of preparing a scientific research project in students of the nursing program at Universidad de Huanuco, 2019. Methods. It was an observational, prospective, and analytical study. Population sample comprised of 60 students. Measurement instruments were: interview guide with general characteristics of the sample. Two questionnaires, preparation of a research project and limiting factors, which were validated. For the statistical analysis, Chi-Square test of independence was used, Odds ratio (OR) estimation and p < 0.05 were performed. Results. Project preparation process in 53.3 % (32) was adequate. When contrasting hypotheses it was found that the individual factors: disinterest for contributing to the solution of a problem and/ or needs through research, the no development of critical thinking, little habit of reading scientific ...

This research proposes and validates a new Didactic Conception with an ecosystem approach for the teaching - learning process of the zoology of the chordates in the third year of the Regular Day Course, of the Bachelor Degree in Biology Education of the Faculty of Media Education "Félix Varela Morales" of the Central University "Marta Abreu" of Las Villas, Villa Clara, Cuba. The information for the diagnosis is obtained from the application of different empirical methods such as surveys, interviews, observation and review of documents. The Didactic conception is based on the Historical - Cultural Theory of LS Vygotsky and his followers, in which an ecosystem approach and confrontation to climate change is demonstrated, which, from its implementation in the aforementioned race, allows students to become even more aware of the imperative need to conserve biological diversity, as well...

In comparative law, frictions between the Judiciary and the Constitutional Tribunal are not new. As Garcia Belaunde recalls they have existed since the 60’s in Italy, from where the name «Battle of the Courts» originated, because the maximum judicial body in said country is the Court of Cassation and the concentrated body for constitutional control is the Constitutional Tribunal. The aforementioned phenomenon is replicated in Spain and in Colombia, where the incident is known as a «train crash». In our country, to debate whether the Constitutional Tribunal is hierarchically superior to the Judiciary is to mention the scope of Article 201 of the Constitution in force that defines the Constitutional Tribunal as the autonomous and independent «controlling body of the Constitution». However and strictly in relation to the foregoing, this article also tackles the binding precedent, a ...

The objective of this research was to know if there were differences in the psychological processes of reading regarding the socio-economic level and gender of 965 students from 1st to 6 th grade of primary from private and public schools of Callao. For this purpose we adapted and created scales for the battery for Reading processes evaluation - revised (PROLEC-R) by. Cuetos, et al (2007). A comparative descriptive design was used. Significant differences according the socioeconomic level in all grades were found in reading comprehension and oral comprehension. It was also found differences in identification of letters and understanding of sentences (except in 6 th) and punctuation (except in second grade). There are no differ rences in the task of identifying “same–different” words and reading of words (except for 1st grade) and pseudowords (except in 1st and 3 rd) reading and gra...

This research work studies the process of changing the name and sex of LGTBIQ people (acronym formed by the initials of the words lesbian, gay, transsexual, bisexual, intersexual, and queer), who have historically been discriminated against and violated in their human rights of access to justice and recognition of legal personality concerning their sexual orientation and gender identity. For its development, doctrine, legislation, and jurisprudence were analyzed to propose a judicial and legislative reform that establishes the parameters for the integral adequacy of self-perceived gender identity.
