This article presents the results of the first diagnostic stage of a project that aims to co-design a dynamic hypermedia device that assists in the process of writing scientific papers in Spanish. These processes are conceived as social practices linked to specific knowledge and, in this sense, the research is framed in the development of Mediatised Educational Practices. Specifically, it develops the main problems presented by 100 postgraduate students at an Argentinean university in scientific-academic literacy linked to the development of written, research, and digital communicative competence. The methodology follows a qualitative-quantitative approach for analyzing the answers obtained through the questionnaire instrument. The results show that the main problem is the presentation and organization of the information; the lack of academic/specific vocabulary as well as difficulties i...

This article investigates digital reading practices in secondary school educational spaces. From the framework of the New Literacy Studies, we analyze scenes in Language and Literature classrooms of second year secondary level which were recorded during a fieldwork with an ethnographic perspective. The purpose of the article is to account for the characteristics of literate practices in order to analyze how digital texts are read and how is the inclusion of digital technologies in the reading process. From the analysis of digital reading scenes in the classroom, we propose, first, a categorization to classify the different types of digital texts according to their forms of production, circulation and affordances. Secondly, based on the observations, it is suggested that it is necessary to be cautious about changes in reading practices with digital technologies, since it is not always whe...

Introduction: The variations of the intentional monitoring carried out by university students on attributes and temporalities of complex learning are analyzed. Objective: to identify the structural relationships between affective and cognitive attributes considered at different times of performance in two tasks of academic skills. Method: intentional sample of 420 students of Higher Education of Mexico and Colombia, of both sexes, answered: a) an inventory of the self-report on variations in attributes and temporal moments in two different tasks and b) two tests, one of comprehension of texts and another of mathematical skills. The theoretical models underlying the assumed academic performance were validated, empirically, through path analysis. Results: high rates of practical fit in all models, which allows identifying differential influences depending on the temporal condition in which...

Dramaturgs are often regarded as the first spectators of an artistic production; they are collaborators who watch over the creative process, providing a critical opinion to the rest of the creative team, and in turn, their work. In this light, the tasks they carry out during the creation process of an art piece contribute to observation, documentation, mediation, and research processes, in order to nurture creation. Given the insufficient availability regarding both theoretical and practical references within Latin American territory, this text is an educational contribution, since its aim is to provide methodological tools for young dramaturgs. This paper is based on the following questions: Which collaborators provide research material for a creative process? How is observation possible during the process? Who keeps a record of what is happening? To what purpose? If all creators conduc...

The global pandemic situation has made it clear that the consumption of fake news, the predilection for articles to disseminate science rather than scientific research articles, and the legitimation of social networks as sources of information affect social development and maintain those involved vulnerable, as well as susceptible to misinformation. Thus, the need to train citizens with a research profile, interested in science and familiar with its discourses is imminent. In this paper, through documented research that includes social studies, pedagogical approaches and discursive analysis, it’s intended to reflect on the relationship between the current situation of scientific discourse and education, as consequently, its impact on the development of the society. At the end, a working method is proposed for teacher training entities focused on interaction with scientific research tex...

The aspiration of state, ministerial and teacher institutions to achieve a school free of conflicts, quarrels and disruptions in Colombia is a challenge of yesteryear. In this way, behavioral regulation materializes historically through different texts (Carreño’s manual, catechisms, school regulations, to name a few), to the point of configuring the current manuals of coexistence, which seek in a procedural and instructional way to mitigate at all costs the violent demonstrations of the school. To enter into this problem, some characteristics of the coexistence manuals of Catholic schools will be presented, relating them to the debates on Colombian school coexistence. In this way, the present text seeks to distinguish the concept of civilization from that of culture, explaining the genesis of behavior and the current analysis perspectives, those that have the intention of solving the ...

Collaborative writing is a complex task that involves diverse regulatory processes. In this case study we address the resolution of Problem-Based Learning through a report written collaboratively. Ten students from the Human Biology degree and their tutor took part. We collected data inside the classroom (the writing assignment, the assessment rubric, and audio recordings of 3 tutorials) and data outside the classroom (screen recordings of the students’ activity on their computers, the team’s WhatsApp group conversation, the final text of the written work, a focus group recording and the evaluative comments of the marking teachers). The results indicate that the processes of self-regulation and socially shared regulation are the most developed. Participants demonstrate control and autonomy in carrying out individual and group activities. On the other hand, co-regulation is less frequ...

The paper we present is the result of a new method used in the classes of Accessible Translation in the Master of Professional Translation at the University of Granada. This subject belongs to the unit of Audiovisual Translation and Accessibility developed since 2014 when this Master started. Our main goal was to apply the modality of accessible translation into different tourist spaces and to innovate in the teaching of translation. The methodology was based on the application of socio-constructivist theories in Accessible Translation. Specifically, we were to teach how to prepare the audio descriptions for two architectural spaces: the façade of the Granada Cathedral and the façade of the Sagrario Church, also in Granada. The audio description of these two spaces was the ideal context (macro text) for the students to go beyond the classroom, and to experience firsthand the epistemolo...
