Background: In January 2020, the World Health Organization declared the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) «a public health emergency of international concern» owing to the detection of cases and the rapid spread of the disease. Objective: This study aimed at understanding the social representations of COVID-19 among Brazilian elderly women. Method: A total of 100 elderly women selected by convenience sampling, with an average age of 69.24 years old (SD = 6.58), participated in the study. Data were collected online using a sociodemographic questionnaire and a free word association test (FWAT) with the stimulus word «COVID-19.» The responses were examined by prototypical analysis through IRaMuTeQ. The social, economic, and environmental consequences of the failure of an arch dam make it essential to evaluate its dynamic response to mitigate the risk of a disaster. Since the slenderness and flexibility of these dams tend to increase the fluid-structure interaction during an earthquake, this work compares the dynamic response of a hypothetical arch dam in the Marañón river, in northern Perú, for both full and empty-reservoir conditions. Three formulations were used to estimate the hydrodynamic pressures: Westergaard’s added mass, Eulerian and Lagrangian. La presente investigación propone un modelo de éxito de los sistemas de información, con la adhesión del factor político, social y ético, aplicado al Módulo de Gestión de Recursos Humanos (MGRRHH) del Ministerio de Economía y Finanzas del Perú. Las bases teóricas empleadas incluyen los esquemas planteados por diversos autores, asumiendo finalmente un modelo de evaluación teórico basado en DeLone y McLean (2003), y Villegas (2010). This study aimed to compare the Social Representations (SR) of aging and quality of life (QoL) in old age for riparian elderly. This is a qualitative-exploratory study with a non-probabilistic sample. Sociodemographic questionnaires and the free word association technique were used. Participants were 100 elderly, matched for sex, aged 60-89 years (M = 70.08 years; SD = 7.19). The IRaMuTeQ software was used through the prototypical analysis, which provided the representational structure. Negative central elements were observed in the SR of aging and more positive elements in the SR of QoL in old age, which denotes the welfare paradox; that is, positive self-reports of life satisfaction, even in the presence of aging losses.

The present study focuses on knowing how “Lugar de la Memoria, la Tolerancia y la Inclusión Social” (LUM) manages each of the elements of the marketing mix in the first quarter of 2017. At the methodological level, the research had a mixed approach, an exploratory-descriptive scope, gathering information through on-site observations of the museum and interviews with the administrative staff. The analysis was structured according to each of the elements of the marketing mix. The information from the staff interviews showed that the LUM does not have strategies reflected in a marketing plan, although it does carry out activities to reach its target audience. This paper contains reflections on the problems of the Latin American crisis and the role of jurists in the face of it. The author mentions that the crisis evidences problems of a socioeconomic, political and juridical nature and that "the new jurist" must contribute to examine the law in order not to be conceived as a static element. His role is to contribute to revitalize the law and overcome its original and structural limitations; acting as a flexible instrument that responds to economic and social changes. La finalidad del estudio fue evaluar el procesamiento de los elementos materia de prueba en delitos contra la libertad sexual en la oficina de criminalística de Chiclayo de la policía nacional del Perú 2024. El enfoque fue cualitativo, método inductivo, diseño fenomenológico, la muestra estuvo conformado por 12 peritos del área de biología forense y escena del crimen, se aplicó una entrevista semiestructurada con 31 preguntas, el análisis de la información se realizó por triangulación y análisis hermenéutico aplicando el programa ATLAS.
