This article proposes a comprehension of social changes in the peasant community of Catac as results of collective action in a context where challenges present themselves as political opportunities and social contentions as well as internal demands of interest groups or factions. In an heterogeneous community as Catac, collective action is not something that is taken for granted but it is deliberately created and constituted. However, it tends to be fragile and usually breaks because of outside pressures and the power relations defined as relations among factions that exist in community.

This article presents an experience carried out by the faculty of the third year of the Infant Education degree at the Ramon Llull University in Barcelona (Spain). A proposal for multidisciplinary intervention that joins two modules: one for arts (musical, corporal, visual, and plastic education) and another for sciences (mathematics, and experimental and social sciences). The intervention stems from a generating idea—the book “Alice in Wonderland”—which allows for connections between the contents of the modules, involves co-teaching, multidisciplinary work, and shared evaluation experiences. The aim of the study is to get to know the perception of the participating faculty about the changes in the didactic components involved in the experience. For data collection, semi-structured interviews were carried out at three moments of the process and a discussion group at the end. The ...

The article presents a case study of a hybrid classroom experience in a university class of Social Communication in Colombia, in which an affinity space was built through the use of information and communication technologies (ICT). Using the theories of affinity space (Gee, 2003, 2005, 2017) and connected learning (Ito et al., 2013) and based on qualitative data collected during four iterations of the class “Communication and Interactivity” (2019-2, 2020-1, 2020-2 and 2021-1), the case reflects on the process of building an affinity space and on the design and implementation of a collective blog as a tool for teaching and learning. By analyzing of the contents and interactions created in the affinity space, particularly in the blog, I inquire about the possibilities for innovation offered by designing environments that are production-centered, networked, and that have a shared purpos...

Technological advances have allowed to collect and store large volumes of data over the years. Besides, it is significant that today's applications have high performance and can analyze these large datasets effectively. Today, it remains a challenge for data mining to make its algorithms and applications equally efficient in the need of increasing data size and dimensionality [1]. To achieve this goal, many applications rely on parallelism, because it is an area that allows the reduction of cost depending on the execution time of the algorithms because it takes advantage of the characteristics of current computer architectures to run several processes concurrently [2]. This paper proposes a parallel version of the FuzzyPred algorithm based on the amount of data that can be processed within each of the processing threads, synchronously and independently.

The Peruvian Amazon region is experiencing a number of impacts such as deforestation which results in loss of vegetation cover and consequently reduced habitat for wildlife. The aim of this study was to evaluate the entomological diversity in an ecosystem in a natural regeneration process (BS) and a primary forest (BP) in Bongará, Amazonas, Peru. The insects were collected using pitfall traps, with bait and malaise, which were arranged in a cross system having as midpoint the center of each area. The collection was made during three periods: dry, semi-dry and rainy. 18650 insects and 150 families distributed in 13 orders were classified. Those Orders who had a higher percentage of richness and abundance were, respectively, Diptera (24%; 45.2%), Coleoptera (24%; 26.4%) and Hymenoptera (21.3%; 14%). Comparing the two areas assessed, BP had a higher abundance compared to BS. The two most a...

This paper presents a proposal to improve the storage process using the Lean Warehousing, 5S, SLP, and PDCA tools to improve the indicator of perfect deliveries. Initially, a diagnosis of the current situation of the warehouse was executed, analyzing and collecting quantitative and qualitative information on the storage processes. The principal causes of the low service level were analyzed, and three main problems were identified as substantial causes, non-compliance with the quantities and items of the orders (53.54%), the delay of deliveries (24.8%), and the deterioration or obsolescence of stocks in the warehouse (23.82%). In order to reduce these deficiencies, improvements were proposed regarding the company's operational processes and policies, as well as modifications in the warehouse layout. In this way, unproductive times or overtime and the route of activities such as picking an...

Green marketing is currently one of the most powerful strategies in the corporate world as it responds to a growing demand for green products. Therefore, this study aims to analyse the influence of green perceived value on green trust and green satisfaction, study how both variables impact green word of mouth in turn and, at the same time, how the three variables influence green purchase intention. Data collection was carried out through a digital survey of buyers of green products. The hypotheses posed were solved with a PLS-SEM model through the Smart-PLS software. The results showed that green perceived value positively affects green trust and green satisfaction. Furthermore, green satisfaction was found to influence green trust and green WOM. Green trust also influences green WOM. Regarding the antecedents of green purchase intention, only green satisfaction and green trust showed a ...

Cervical cancer is one of the main causes of death by disease worldwide. In Peru, it holds the first place in frequency and represents 8% of deaths caused by sickness. To detect the disease in the early stages, one of the most used screening tests is the cervix Papanicolaou test. Currently, digital images are increasingly being used to improve Pap test efficiency. This work develops an algorithm based on adaptive thresholds, which will be used in Pap smear assisted quality control software. The first stage of the method is a pre-processing step, in which noise and background removal is done. Next, a block is segmented for each one of the points selected as not background, and a local threshold per block is calculated to search for cell nuclei. If a nucleus is detected, an artifact rejection follows, where only cell nuclei and inflammatory cells are left for the doctors to interpret. The ...
