Objective: To validate an explanatory model of cognitive functioning in older adults, based on inhibitory control, working memory and processing speed. Method: Explanatory-correlational design. 128 people between 60 and 85 years of age were evaluated with working memory and processing speed tests of the WAIS-IV intelligence scale, Stroop Test and Neuropsi. Results: Two models of structural equation analysis were applied. In model 1, with the total sample, inhibitory control better explains the cognitive functioning in adults aged 60 to 85 years (β=0.22; p<0.538). Model 2, which included age as a control variable, divided the sample into two age groups, and found that processing speed best predicted cognitive functioning in adults aged 60-70 years (β=2.329; p=0.030). but no variable predicted cognitive functioning in adults aged 71 to 85 years. The relationship between executive functions (EF), creative personality, and academic performance in Argentine university students was examined. A total of 248 students (M = 22.97 years, SD = 4.43) from various Argentine provinces participated. The Adult Executive Functioning Inventory (ADEXI), the Cognitive Flexibility Scale, the Creative Behavior Scale (ECC), and the Creative Personality Scale (EPC) were used, along with academic performance data and sociodemographic information. Data were collected online through Google Forms and analyzed using Spearman correlations and mediation analysis with robust Maximum Likelihood estimator and Bootstrap. Objective: The operationalization and the role of a participatory model of diagnostic and therapeutic formulations called Foster Groups, implemented in a Community Mental Health Center in Lima, Peru, are analyzed. This research aimed to compare the internalizing (anxiety and depression) and externalizing (hyperactivity) symptoms of Caraquenian children based on the level of food insecurity reported by their parents. A simple retrospective design was proposed with a sample of 200 children, aged between eight and twelve, and their representatives, in charge of reporting the food insecurity levels in their homes and the symptoms of perceived hyperactivity in their children. For the analysis of results, the non-parametric Mann-Whitney´s U technique was used to compare anxiety, depressive and hyperactive symptoms based on high and low levels of food insecurity. In Mexico, a high percentage of young people experience symptoms of generalized anxiety, which are associated with difficulties in executive functions (EF). However, previous studies have shown inconsistent results, as they often rely solely on either objective or subjective measures. Therefore, this study focused on analyzing the relationship between generalized anxiety and EF using both a neuropsychological battery and a self-report questionnaire, in order to provide a more comprehensive understanding of cognitive functioning in adolescents. In order to determine whether family functioning predicts the level of resilience in parents facing the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, a predictive and cross-sectional study was conducted on a sample of 183 parents from the department of La Libertad, who were selected under a non-probabilistic purposive sampling. Two instruments were used to collect data: Cohesion and Family Adaptability Evaluation Scale (CESF) and the Brief Resilient Coping Scale (BRC). Based on a linear regression analysis, an adequate model fit is observed (F-test = 35.924, p < .001), where, family functioning (β = .407, p < .05) is a variable that significantly predicts resilience (adjusted R2 = .161). El presente estudio tiene como objetivo principal dar a conocer una recopilación de 355 estudios que analizan el deterioro de las funciones ejecutivas en personas drogodependientes entre 2011 y 2020. Es de tipo metaanálisis, de diseño no experimental y descriptivo. El procedimiento empleado fue la búsqueda de diferentes bases de datos, la selección, organización y análisis de artículos/investigaciones/estudios, de los cuales se extrajo 10 de éstos que evidencian la existencia de un deterioro en las funciones ejecutivas en las personas drogodependientes que empeora con el tipo de droga, la frecuencia y tiempo de consumo de sustancias psicoactivas.
