The burnout syndrome is an occupational health indicator that intervenes in the teaching-learning process and may harm the quality of education offered by institutions. The relationship between individual characteristics and the work environment may have different effects over the teaching performance. The current investigation seeks to analyze the fit of a model to predict teaching performance based on the teacher burnout, while including individual characteristics and the work environment perception in university teachers. The sample is composed of 94 teachers who provided information related to the Conscientiousness trait, their burnout and engagement levels, their teaching performance, and their perception of the work environment. Objective: This article aims to show the impact of Burnout Syndrome on the work performance of health sciences teachers. Materials and Methods: For this purpose, a search of original articles, review articles, theses, and systematic reviews published from 2017 to 2022 was conducted in the databases: Pubmed/MEDLINE, Scopus, SciELO, and Google Scholar. Results: According to the results obtained, it is concluded that medical and dental teachers do have a high tendency to suffer burnout, which affects their final performance with the student, having negative consequences in the teaching-learning process. El objetivo central del presente estudio de investigación fue determinar la relación que existe entre la gestión del talento humano y el desempeño laboral docente en la Institución Educativa N° 31 Nuestra Señora del Carmen del Distrito de Yanacancha, Provincia de Pasco, Región de Pasco. La presente investigación tiene como objetivo elaborar una propuesta educativa sobre la participación de los padres de familia y su influencia en el proceso de enseñanza–aprendizaje en el área curricular de Ciencia y Tecnología. The article aims to demonstrate the impact of neuroscience as an instructional strategy on student learning. This was an experimental research with a pre-experimental design that used a sample of 60 students on the Mathematics 1.0 course of the first cycle of the Continental University in the Academic period II - 2021. Significant contrasts were found between the results obtained before and after the application of the designed instructional guide, since the T value obtained is related with a significance level lower than 0.01, confirming the research hypothesis. The aim of the present study was to examine the relationship between students’ cognitive and self-regulatory strategies, academic engagement, and academic achievement in higher education, analyzing the mediating role of reading comprehension. Different tasks to assess the constructs were administered to 209 students (Mage = 21.71; SD = 4.36). The students' GPA was used as a measure of academic achievement. Significant associations were found between cognitive and self-regulation strategies, academic engagement, reading comprehension, and students' GPA. In addition, a positive association was found between cognitive and self-regulation strategies and academic engagement.
