Emotional Regulation (ER) strategies are created depending on the attachment style, as the probability to experiment positive emotions increases. Need for Social Approval (NSA) works as a motivator that guides behavior and facilitates social adaptation, being associated positively with Mental Health (MH). Relationships between attachment styles, ER, SD and MH were evaluated. In total, 469 participants answered the Revised Adult Attachment Scale, the ER Questionnaire, the NSA Scale and the MH Inventory MHI-38. Significant differences were found in all variables regarding attachment styles. Securely attached individuals had the highest psychological wellbeing and used cognitive re-evaluation as an ER strategy. NSA is conceived as a favorable social adjustment strategy that impacts individual’s MH, influenced by attachment styles in interaction with ER.

Contracts are an expression of the negotiating power that corresponds to private autonomy and constitute a voluntary distribution of risks, among them, the lack of performance; accordingly, if such situation materializes or is likely to materialize, within the framework of the so-called synallagmatic contracts, the law regulates two self-protection mechanisms that can be used to prevent the loss of the performance parallelism, which will be applicable according to whether the respective business is of simultaneous performance or of successive performance. Consequently, it is necessary to analyze the content, scope, requirements, validity and modalities, if applicable, of each of these means of defense in which it is intendedthat the contractual performance is exceptionally suspended until the state of affairs can be restored normally. Likewise, it is necessary to critically evaluate whet...

What we understand as informality existed a long time before the term was coined. For a better understanding of the phenomenon, it is necessary to trace the origins of those activities that over time have been carried outside the legal system that formally defines the modern nation-state. The article seeks to articulate the contemporary informal phenomenon to other ways of existing outside the law that have their origin in colonial regimes, characterized by the need to implement parallel government and legal systems. It is about understanding informality as a phenomenon typical of postcolonial situations and proposing ways out from that reading.

Academic self-efficacy is a powerful predictor of academic success, yet there are several factors that predispose it. Because of this, an explanatory model is proposed using the self-regulation of academic activities, positive affection, and personality. Hierarchical multiple linear regression was used to support the predictive proposal of the model. The Specific Perceived Self-Efficacy Scale of Academic Situations, The Scale of Positive and Negative Experience, Subscale Self-Regulation of Activities of the Academic Procrastination Scale, and Mini International Personality Item Pool (MINI-IPIP) were used. High correlations were obtained in the self-regulation of activities, positive affection, and personality (extraversion, concientousness and openness to experience) to academic self-efficacy. The final predictive model explained 30.1% of the total variance of academic self-efficacy. In ...

The principle of exhaustion of rights is one of the most discussed matters in intellectual property law, forming part of a debate that has not culminated in a global agreement. However, its application is present in all countries and the evaluation of its scope has deserved the attention of the doctrine and the courts of justice of the world. This work focuses on the field of trademarks and tries to show a gene ral perspective on the exhaustion of the right in its presence in international trade, through parallel imports. Likewise, it includes some of the economic reasons that support the existence or restriction of parallel imports, as well as an analysis of their regulation in international trade law.

Financial inclusion is both a process and a challenge, especially in countries like Peru, where many people are not part of the financial system. The author provides a business idea and a regulation proposal that could help in one of the aspects that affects the unbanked population, not having a credit record. The absence of a credit rating means that many people are rejected by the formal financial system, thus creating a vicious circle that leads to the development of a parallel informal financial system. The article proposes a novel way to help people build a credit history and thus be able to access more financial products at lower costs.

This article deals with the legal problem that arises when it is questioned whether the codes of conduct are likely to be considered as legal norms or not. Therefore, the object of study is to contribute to clarify the discussion that arises around social responsibility from a legal angle. In this way, a transversal analysis will be carried out on the legal nature of the codes of conduct, which seek, beyond that they have the character of soft law, that they contain rights that are effective or enforceable. Based on this, the author proposes several hypotheses that highlight the legal effectiveness of the aforementioned codes. First, it indicates that the code of conduct could be considered a unilateral act of self-limitation of the employer's powers. In this sense, the clauses of the codes of conduct that limit or deny the rights of the worker must be null and ineffective seen from the ...

Several control schemes specifically designed to operate inverter-based industrial microgrids during voltage sags have been recently proposed. This paper first classifies these control schemes in three categories and then performs a comparative analysis of them. Representative control schemes of each category are selected, described and used to identify the main features and performance of the considered category. The comparison is based on the evaluation of several indexes, which measure the power quality of the installation and utility grid during voltage sags, including voltage regulation, reactive current injection and transient response. The paper includes selected simulation results from a 500 kVA industrial microgrid to validate the expected features of the considered control schemes. Finally, in view of the obtained results, the paper proposes an alternative solution to cope with...

Why and how do societies transform the environmental rules of economic development, or fail to do so? This article compares the experiences of Chile and Peru in the regulation of smelting activities between 1990 and 2010. Air pollution from smelters in Chuquicamata and La Oroya, each emblematic of the two countries’ mining industries, did not give rise to nationally destabilising protest. Nevertheless, despite the absence of pressing discontent with pollution, the environmental rules for mining could still be improved as a result of policy network activism and through highly idiosyncratic institutional channels. The analysis shows that policy entrepreneurship for Chuquicamata was enhanced by a national institutional environment that favoured bureaucratic autonomy, while parallel action for La Oroya was constrained by a political economy of state weakness and elite disr...
