Telemedicine describes the electronic delivery of medical data for diagnosis, treatment and medical education to the patient at home through the use of information and communication technologies. In just a few weeks, the current global situation related to COVID-19 has generated unprecedented pressures on the health system and transformed the practice of palliative care. The National Center for Pain Control and Palliative Care's home visiting program adopted the teleconsultation modality in March 2020 and a pilot plan for evaluating telemonitoring technology was established. During the initial evaluation period between March and July 2020, a physician specializing in Palliative Medicine reviewed the vital signs within 24 hours of transmission and conducted a teleconsultation of the patient allowing analysis of the data received. Introduction: Prenatal care is the main tool for prevention of complications of pregnancy, childbirth and the puerperium. Nevertheless, rates of deaths and diseases related to gestation remain unacceptably high, especially in developing countries. Objective: To describe the conditions of access to prenatal care in a primary care center in the city of Pasto, Nariño, Colombia. Methods: We conducted a descriptive, cross-sectional study. We interviewed twenty-four women with gestational age between 36 and 40 weeks, attending prenatal care at the Pandiaco Health Center, level I of care in Pasto City, Colombia, during the year 2015. La presente investigación toma como objetivo la asignación de rutas adecuadas para garantizar visitas técnicas a todas las torres de fibra óptica con las que cuenta la empresa Metadatos. Esto pudo lograrse gracias al modelo de asignación con el método de programación lineal entera, el cual permitió encontrar rutas con menor recorrido en kilometraje y con visitas hacia todas las torres de fibra óptica. Los resultados obtenidos aseguran un ciclo de transporte redondo que inicia desde Lima hacia las torres ubicadas en ciudades rurales y de estás hacia Lima optimizando el recorrido y las atenciones. Las características de la vivienda son un factor importante para llevar a cabo adecuadamente el tratamiento de diálisis peritoneal (DP), el presente estudio analiza si las condiciones de la vivienda condicionan la aparición de peritonitis. Se eligió una cohorte retrospectiva en pacientes que iniciaron DP dentro del periodo enero de 2002-diciembre de 2011 en el Hospital Nacional Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen. Se describieron los tiempos de seguimiento según la fecha de inicio de DP y la primera peritonitis u otros eventos (paso a hemodiálisis, trasplante, muerte o abandono).
