This research is framed within the area of translation and interpreting studies and more specifically within the field of translation didactics. The general research objective of this study is to observe and analyze the repercussions of Translation undergraduate courses at five different universities in Spain. With empirical methods combining quantitative and qualitative analysis relying on a macro-study of more than 1,000 subjects and a longitudinal study of 37 students, the research focuses specifically on the development of the strategic competence (SC) and, particularly, the student’s capacity to identify and describe translation problems. This study sets out to establish the effects of problem-based learning on translator instrumental competence in students of the School of Translation and Interpretation of a private university in the city of Lima. Focused on the search for explanations regarding ability to know how to translate, present and absent in university students and if this competence was due to the multiple tasks assigned. In recent years we have observed an increasing number of publications, but also the appearance of predatory journals in which the quality of the research papers is not as expected. The boom in publication and scientific productivity is positive insofar as it shows the interest of institutions in doing research. Therefore, the objective of this article is to search for a formative research methodology that will help junior researchers to enter the world of scientific research in translation, to base their studies on solid theoretical approaches and to employ appropriate methodologies. This paper aims to demonstrate the influence of an intervention program for the development of critical thinking on the acquisition of strategic competence of translation students in a university in Lima. For this purpose, a quasi-experimental research with pre-test and post-test design with control and experimental groups was carried out. The object of study was an intervention program for the development of critical thinking applied to the experimental group. The findings showed that the activities designed for the development of critical thinking significantly influenced strategic competence, which was measured through the student’s ability to analyze problems, evaluate translations and assess their own translations.

The Quality Function Deployment (QFD) and the Theory of Inventive Problem Solving (TRIZ) are independent methodologies, that can be used and developed freely, but can be an important enhancer when you want to achieve innovation if they work together. The objective of this article is to present an analysis of the customers’ requirements in a product manufactured with biodegradable materials, the output result when applying the QFD was the quality critic related to toxicity, while the input information for the matrix TRIZ’s technical contradictions were the translation of the quality critic to one of the 39 technical design parameters, corresponding to parameter 30 (Harmful factors acting on the object from outside), being considered as the transfer point between the methodologies thus achieving the integration of both.

This teaching experience was designed for and implemented in a university module on legal translator training in the German (as second foreign language or C language) - Spanish (first language or A language) language pair. It describes the applications of a simulated yet realistic project, whereby students were asked to translate a German court summons into Spanish. Following the main theories on textual genre (Borja, 2013; Orts, 2017), as applied to the pre-translation analysis of the communicative situation in legal translation (Prieto, 2013), trainee translators are able to develop their legal translation competence and to establish a decision-making framework (Way, 2014) that allows them to justify their solutions to the translation problems identified. Objective: To adapt the Problem Internet Use Questionnaire (PIUQ) for its utilization in Peru. Material and Methods: The translation and cultural adaptation of the PIUQ followed a systematic process that involved direct translation, evaluation and judgment by expert committees and back-translation, culminating with the final approval by the scale creators. In this thesis, we introduce a new variation of the VRP appearing in wireless networks. The new characteristic added to this well-know problem is the possibility of pick-up information via wireless transmissions. The purpose of this article is to examine the importance of the profession of translators and interpreters in the international dissemination of Peruvian literature. Likewise, it seeks to make known the invaluable service that these professionals have offered over the years. To this end, we will analyze the tradition «El latín de una limeña», by Ricardo Palma. In order to show the great work done by those versed in languages, in the same way, we will study the main translated works of the Bibliotecario Mendigo, César Vallejo and Mario Vargas Llosa. In fact, the works of these literary figures have reached foreign lands and have been translated into several languages. Finally, we will reflect on the most frequent problems that translators have in their professional work, as well as their current relationship with technology.

The study addressed the difficulties faced by fourth-cycle primary school students in public educational institutions in the district of Ccatca, Cusco region, in solving mathematical problems. These difficulties were attributed to the limited use of effective strategies and heuristic techniques by teachers. The main objective is to analyze the impact of applying these strategies on student performance and to propose a pedagogical model based on empirical evidence. A heuristic strategy was applied in an applied study with a pre-experimental design, involving 131 students. To measure progress, a pedagogical test (pretest and posttest) and an evaluation rubric were used. The data were analyzed using SPSS 22 and Excel. The present study reports three cases of problems on farmed Arapaima gigas in the Peruvian and Brazilian Amazon (1st case: Jaundice disease in farmed Arapaima gigas (Schinz, 1822) in Pará, Brazil; 2nd case: Gas bubble disease in farmed Arapaima gigas from the Peruvian amazon and 3rd case: Mortalities caused by fights between sexually mature females of Arapaima gigas. All cases were reported during field expeditions to fish farms.
