Science teaching encourages the development of scientifically literate students, i.e. students who know how to use the scientific knowledge learned in the classroom to make sound decisions in everyday life. This influences researchers to seek a break with “traditional” methodologies and promote the use of tools/methodologies that can help develop scientific literacy, such as Didactic Sequences. Through a systemic analysis of the literature, this article aims to understand how the theories of teaching and learning defended by Jean Piaget, Lev Vygotsky and Paulo Freire are references in the construction of Didactic Sequences aimed at promoting Scientific Literacy. The data collected shows that the Didactic Sequence is based on the theories of Piaget, Vygotsky and Freire.

Attachment theory constitutes one of the psychological phenomena that, based on affective ties and the way it is shown, will evidently generate a conditioning and parental relationship from childhood that affects social coexistence. Hence, on multiple occasions, if the relationship has not been positive, different types of relationships are generated. Bowlby was the forerunner of this attachment theory, potentially so influential with emotions. For the legal world, violence is punished with penalties that are increasingly severe and draconian, however, many of these criminal activities accompanied by violence are generated by minors, hence the need for protection policies for children and adolescents with respect to their origin of violence because the family as a basic identity card of society has internal and external forces that influence the formation of the state it represents. Hist...

The present research work aimed to explain the dynamics between Greek atomism and current atomism from the perspective of evolutionary epistemology in the students of the Faculty of Education Sciences of UNHEVAL - 2020. Bearing in mind that the study of Evolutionary Epistemology should promote an adequate understanding of the development of science, we ask ourselves: What is the dynamics between Greek atomism and current atomism from the perspective of evolutionary epistemology in the students of the Faculty of Education Sciences of the UNHEVAL - 2020? The method used was the signing, which consisted of collecting information on the atomic theory proposed by Democritus and the current atomic theory, as well as on evolutionary epistemology; in the case of students, a survey was taken. The work is part of the type of basic research at a descriptive level. For the analysis of the results of...

The importance of recognizing the scope of social theory for the rigorous study of social movements and conflicts from various theoretical perspectives is addressed. This scope is classified into three levels: i) general theories, ii) intermediate scope theories; and, iii) substantive theories. General theories offer broad and abstract theoretical frameworks to understand social phenomena as a whole, such as Marxism and its variants, functionalism, structural-functionalism, systems theory and deconstructivism. Middle-range theories focus on specific areas of study and provide an intermediate level of abstraction, such as social capital theory or social exchange theory. Substantive theories are specific and explain specific phenomena in particular contexts, such as the theory of resource mobilization in social movements. Alternative conceptualizations of social movements and conflicts are...

Following the perspective of the General Strain Theory (GST), this work explored the relationships between stressful experiences for adolescents, in the family (aggression and problems with the police) and at school (bullying), anger, self-control, and antisocial behaviors. Participated in the study, 102 students, 13 to 16 years old, from public schools in a city in the interior of São Paulo state. They answered five questionnaires. Descriptive analysis and simple and adjusted logistic regression were performed. Having committed school violence, having anger as a trait, and having lower self-control seem to interact and foster the conditions for antisocial behavior. Further studies, with larger and diverse samples, should continue to explore the TGT model, including context variables, which may modulate the focused relationships.

The “ideology” notion has been decontextualized from its critical function to be employed as a discrediting maneuver that disregards debate. This article posits ideological analysis within the basic idea of a critical theory to point out the problems inherent to its dependency to the modern subjectivity paradigm. Afterdiscussing two attempts to preserve some form of ideological analysis by means ofa reconsideration of the aesthetical, we claim the pertinence of a communicationalinterpretation of the critic, ideology and aesthetics notions, which refers them to its founding and normative dimension in the very constitution of the self and its community.

Children’s understanding of mental states and their temporal and spatial perspective-taking abilities change substantially during early childhood. It has been proposed that these abilities converge on common mechanisms based on self-projection. Also, remembering and prospection are thought to jointly support human capacity for mental time travel. This study explores the behavioral congruence of perspective-taking abilities by assessing episodic memory, episodic future thinking, theory of mind, and visual perspective-taking in 85 children aged four to six in Uruguay. We found no overall associations, except for theory of mind (false beliefs) and episodic future thinking. Results are discussed in the light of conceptual implications of the tasks, while we argue that enhancing equivalence in task design is essential for advancing future research.

This article explains what we mean by the unidimensionality of a measurement instrument, therefore we present some definitions and theoretical contributions about this subject. Factor analysis is proposed as one of the many methods for assessing the unidimensionality of a measurement instrument. The use of Pearson correlations matrices on item-level factor analysis is identified as an important problem. Those correlations are problematic because items didn’t carry out the necessary assumptions in order to apply the Pearson correlation: interval-level measurement and normal distribution of the variable. As an alternative we propose and exemplify the use of tetrachoric and polychoric correlations.

At present, there is a discussion in Mexico about working with diversity focusing on inclusive education. However, there is a question upon how is it being implemented. From the perspective of a support teacher, this paper approaches to some of the legal and normative basis of inclusive education. Moreover, there is also a reflection on some theoretical propositions and its practical application on schools.

This article analyzes the theoretical and epistemological elaborations of Luhmann about the problem of meaning. Its aim is to trace the key tension that crosses the different inflections of his proposal: between a formal definition of meaning, with the distinction of selective actuality and the horizon of potentialities, and its taking form, parting from the operations of systems. In order to do this, three decisive moments of his perspective are studied. First, the article focuses on his claim to formally conceptualize and to «desubjectivize» meaning, within a series of theoretical inheritances and ruptures.Second, it analyzes the consequences of his autopoietical proposal, either by pointing out meaning as the coevolutionary achievement of psychic and social systems, or in its analysis of the linguistic generalization of meaning. Third, in his later works, with the intensification of...

This study analyzes the foundation and the meaning of regulation, specifically from the legal and economic perspective. A basic budget of public interest theories of regulation arises, in a context of freedom. Thus, the role of law as a regulator in society and the various justifications presented for it will be verified.

This study examines the gap between universities and companies. It specifically aims to identify relevant cognitive variables according to institutional theory (such as motivations, beliefs, concepts, and perceptions) for the agents studied (in this case, university professors) and quantify these variables. The research focuses on the National Technological University and the programs related to the software industry to explore ways to reduce the gap and improve the relationship between the two sectors.

Data on violence against women in Spain are unbearable for an advanced democratic state, which allows inferring that there is a social/sexual reality prior to the social coexistence pact that is discriminatory for women and threatens their fundamental rights. This reality of preexisting subordination to the norms of social coexistencehas been based (and sustained) on the asymmetry of socio/sexual power that pivots in the sex/gender system. Hence the need to provide the “gender” category with constitutional relevance.

The article examines, centrally, the possibilities of the testimonial account, memory and experience for history and historiographical studies. Faced with this general objective, the work assumes a theoretical-critical-philosophical perspective that seeks to contrast and delve into those most relevant proposals, ideas or conceptualizations that have guided the path of the aforementioned debates to, finally, propose a rereading of the testimony and the historical account (as a trace that becomes a map) based on the deleuzoguattarian theoretical proposals that appeared in A Thousand Plateaus. Capitalism and Schizophrenia. The five sub-themes that make up the study are the following: “The belief in historical representation”; “Poetic configuration of the real past”; “Memory as the matrix of history”; “The privilege of memory against the pact of truth” and “The testim...
