Advanced Oxidation Processes (AOX) are based on the in situ generation of hydroxyradicals (·OH), which have a high oxidation potential. In the case of Fenton processes !he generation of hydroxy radicals takes place by the combination of an oxidation agent (H202) with a catalyst (Fe(II)). These radicals are not selective and they react very fast with the organic matter, being able to oxidize a high variety of organic compounds. This property allows the degradation of pollutants into more biodegradable compounds, and,in some cases, their complete mineralization into C02 and mineral acids. Under optimal conditions, (pH=3, (Fe 2+] = 200 mg/L, [H2O2] = 3612 mg/L) the Fenton processes are able to reduce !he concentration of the organic matter present in the textile effiuent, up lo 97%.

Currently, textile processing plants need to control the conditions associated with the spinning process, being the air conditioning of working environments an important factor in the quality and productivity of these processes. The benefits obtained from the optimization of this air conditioning help to guide a lower energy consumption, helping to improve the positioning of the products and providing profitability in the operation processes. Due to the advantages obtained in the air conditioning process, this work proposes a system that allows reusing the residual energy generated at the outlet of the ventilation ducts. This residual energy is fed into the plant to reduce the high temperatures observed in the ceiling. Consequently, this approach will generate a decrease in the service demand of the air conditioning system and reduce operating costs. Also, to verify this proposal, a mult...

The textile industry is one of the most polluting industries in the world, due to the significant environmental impact it generates. Therefore, the adoption of measures to optimize its processes is necessary in order to reduce production times, as well as water and energy consumption. In this regard, this study conducted an analysis of cotton fiber production at ITESSA, a Peruvian textile company. The main objective was to optimize the dyeing process of cotton fibers using the DMAIC continuous improvement methodology. Through its implementation, it was identified that the dye used caused multiple delays in production, leading to a proposal for a change to the Grupo CHT brand dye, which allows dyeing with fewer baths and at a lower temperature without compromising color quality and intensity. With its application, the dyeing time was reduced by 10 hours, water consumption by 7500 liters, ...

Textile effluents from Franky & Ricky S.A (Arequipa-Peru) were treated using coagulationflocculation process by the two commercial agents Perifloc and Al2 (SO4)3, and Triticum aestivum L. starch as an aid of the process. The treatment capacity was determined by the degree of removal of Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD5), Total Suspended Solids (TSS), pH, and light absorbance (Coloration level). Due to the variance of textile effluent COD, BOD, TSS and coloration, two different optimal doses were established for effluents with high and low coloration of dyes, being 18 and 12 mg·L-1 for Perifloc, and 150 and 50 mg·L-1 for Al2(SO4)3 respectively. The use of T. aestivum starch showed good ability to support textile treatment process effluents when applied to half of the optimal dose of Perifloc at 0.5 g · L-1 for the case of effluents with high loading dye a...
