Today we can find different critical systems in different fields such as health, military, space, security, etc., where the lives and economy of many people are in danger due to the consequences that may arise from a failure in these systems. For this reason, it is essential to identify, analyze and treat the risks related to critical systems projects and typical risk management processes. In this article, we show and explore different techniques and models applied in different environments, such as medicine and the military field, recognizing concepts and similarities in critical systems and risk management. Finally, determining that there are no defined methodologies for risk management in these systems, in many cases necessary to apply hybrid and dynamic options.

This paper shows the advantages of the Scorecard Project System as a computer integrated tool to simplify, speed up and streamline the design and monitoring of diagnosis studies, plans and projects included in a strategic view to reach sustainable development. The paper shows the characteristics and advantages of each such tool and establishes their sequence in the feedback cycle for territorial management, whether peasant communities, local governments, regional governments of companies with a social responsibility mission.

The little regulation existing in our country regarding construction highlights the fact of the existence of a great deficiency in the design as in the execution of the same. One of the affected components and the one dealt with in this article are the reinforced concrete stairway systems, systems that are not very valued but are of vital importance in a building, which present a design flaw due to various factors, for which purpose a software that analyzes and designs various systems of reinforced concrete stairs in order to implement it in various projects. This article presents an investment project to maintain, renovate and modernize the Metro STC rolling stock. This research is focused on alleviating public transportation precariousness, poor quality, and inadequacy in the Mexico City Metropolitan Area. The results suggest that the project is feasible in terms of economic and social impact. Socially, the following variables will be reduced: generalized travel and maintenance costs, CO2 emissions, and catastrophic risk. In financial terms, the net present value is positive, and the benefit/cost ratio is greater than 6. This project is of utmost importance in the present context and considering the recent tragic incident on line 12 of the Mexico City subway.
