El catolicismo en América Latina ocupó un lugar destacado en las prioridades de Pio XII durante su pontificado (1939-1958). En sus planes pastorales para Latinoamérica Pio XII quiso contar con el catolicismo estadounidense. Como una aproximación a esa faceta del catolicismo en América Latina, durante la década anterior al Concilio Vaticano II, el presente artículo aborda seis figuras episcopales estadounidense; tres iniciativas de la National Catholic Welfare Conference (NCWC); y tres iniciativas conjuntas entre las jerarquías estadounidense y latinas. Se lleva a cabo una aproximación eminentemente bibliográfica, que recoge las recientes aportaciones de la historiografía estadounidense sobre el catolicismo latino. Y se completan algunos aspectos con documentación sobre América Latina de los archivos de la NCWC, conservada en la Catholic University of America.

The project consists of the creation of a digital fanzine that publicizes the current Lima indie musical scene, compiles information about the places and environments in which this scene takes place, illustrates the behavior of the actors involved and identifies the key moments in its development. The project is based on the idea of generating a means of communication to obtain a record of the Lima indie scene. With the emergence of new movements and forms of musical expression, it is important to document and publicize this emerging scene. To do this, a fanzine is used that brings together photography and design, and that will function as a means to show the current state of the Lima indie scene. The purpose of this project is to generate sensations, transmit emotions and show the essence of this musical genre through images.

El presente informe tiene el propósito de demostrar, que el uso de la Metodología de Valor Ganado (Earned Value Management - EVM) para controlar los costos en una obra, influye en la optimización de la rentabilidad de un proyecto inmobiliario; en este caso en la ejecución de la etapa de acabados del proyecto “Edwards Student Housing”. The present article is an international review or state of the art that analyzed more than seventy texts of studies and interventions of information and communication technologies for development and social change with the objective of identifying tendencies, in particular those that had the specific purpose of youth development. In the results of this systematization stands out the discussions around the concept of development, the predominance of works in marginalized communities, and the need to orient this field towards situated users and problems, as is the case of young people, a topic that has been less attended.

In this context, this article analyzes the different forms of protection of this emerging right in codified systems and common law systems, in order to account for the different realities that are being created in both continents, where the aim is to balance the right to information with the right to be forgotten in an era where digital memory does not forget or forgive.

This article reconstructs the process that led to Chilean postal reforms (1840-1852) and argues that their impetus resulted from the convergence of structural conditions (political peace, financial stability, and commercial boom) and an intellectual context favorable to "material progress." Drawing on official sources and ministerial reports, it traces how denunciations of the administrative obsolescence of the postal service and pressures from public and private actors (ministers, Valparaíso merchants, the press) grew from the late 1830s onward. It also examines the legislative projects of 1849-1850 (Urízar, congressional committee, Varas) and the dispute between privatization (through public tender) and a state-run model. Juan Leon Mera was a conservative and fervently Catholic Ecuadorian writer who lived in the mid-nineteenth century whose most famous novel was “Cumandá”. In this novel, although its sentimental and Indianist aspects are usually studied, Mera concretized his ideals of a state based on Catholicism. However, this article questions whether this proposal of Catholic organization is viable at the end of the book.
