El desarrollo de software es una actividad demandada por el mundo entero, en el que se requiere de habilidades técnicas y blandas para desempeñarse con destreza en una carrera tan globalizada y competitiva. Las investigaciones revisadas muestran la existencia de una brecha entre la industria y la academia. Over time, different process improvement models have emerged to assess software quality and apply improvements based on the evaluation. Among the most outstanding are CMMI and ISO/IEC 15504, and MPS are the three main models for evaluating and improving software processes. The differences that are addressed in the article are benefits and maturity levels. CMMI is based on the ideas of evil reproduced in a framework with five levels. ISO/IEC 15504, formerly known as SPICE. It has a framework of 6 groups of maturity. MPS-BR is based on CMMI with the difference that it has seven maturity levels. The main difference between CMMI, MPS-BR, and ISO 15504 is their orientation. While CMMI is aimed at large companies, MPS-BR focuses on medium and small companies, and ISO 15004 is aimed at any company, whether large companies or PyMEs.

This research covers the technical and soft skills required in software development, a globally in-demand activity. These skills are required to efficiently perform in a very globalized, competitive field. Previous studies show the existence of a gap between industry and academia. Training centers provide professionals with technical skills, but as of late, the need for soft skills has become apparent, making it important to study and find ways to embed them into the professionals who join the industry. The application of Personal Software Process (PSP) methodology helps students to strengthen their skills in the software development process, however, the method is not widespread in academia nor industry. This article shows the importance of soft skills, according to Latin American companies, and how PSP can reduce the skills gap.

The phrase ‘divide and rule’ and which proposes a strategy of dividing a centralized power structure into smaller power groups. Based on this principle, this study proposes that in the project management for the development of a web application, where the application’s implementation can be divided in processes with their own tools, resources and life cycle. Both O’Reilly (2007) and Ginige (1998) mention that the technologies to be used in the front-end of a web application are different from those of the back-end, making it possible to decouple the implementation into its own components from the side of the customer or web browser and from the applications servers, databases and static files.

Today it is difficult for an SME to apply the Quality Models and proposed tests such as CMMI, TMMi,, TMap, IEEE Standard referring to the process of V & V, this primarily by: 1) the degree of complexity,; 2) cost constraints that SMEs do not have enough money to hire market specialists that can provide the directives they need or 3) simply because of the ignorance that exists about the benefits obtained. The present research has as main objective to develop a methodological framework Process Verification and Validation adjusted for socioeconomic reality of SME. The framework was applied to the project Inventory Control System of the Company QBOSS SAC, the initial situation of the company was analyzed, then the methodological framework developed was applied, and finally the results were positive for the organization.

Los dispositivos de radio tradicionales tienen una funcionalidad limitada que solo puede modificarse haciendo cambios en el hardware. En este sentido, cualquier mejora en la flexibilidad de un dispositivo de radio tradicional implica un aumento considerable en los costos de producción. Por otro lado, los sistemas de radio definidos por software (SDR) proporcionan una solución relativamente económica y efectiva, permitiendo múltiples funcionalidades que pueden mejorarse simplemente actualizando el software. El presente informe describe la implementación de cuatro sistemas SDR mediante el uso de una computadora portátil con el software GNURadio, una placa transmisora de RF y un dispositivo receptor de RF de bajo costo. Este trabajo se centra en el diseño de transmisores y receptores que pueden realizar técnicas de modulación para señal analógica (FM) y señal digital (QPSK).

This article highlights both the quantitative research process and its implementation to achieve the objective of identifying the level of quality in software producing mypes. The current project is aimed at students in their role as researchers, considering that one of the strategic objectives of the institutions of higher education is to promote the culture of research, look for differences in findings, obtain superior training and to be more competitive. The quantitative research process gives way to the realization of the primary methods in obtaining the characterization of software producing mypes in Lima. This allows one to identify the quality of their software.

One of the main challenges when managing software projects is determining the effort needed to deliver the product, and in Peru, public entities are aligned in regulatory compliance, which is why the use of agile approaches has increased due to the uncertainty in measuring the size of the software. In that sense, through this research, the development process for OSINFOR was improved by incorporating the COSMIC method to measure the software size and determine the effort for developments. El principal objetivo del presente trabajo de investigación es Determinar en qué medida la aplicación de la metodología PSP mejorará el proceso de desarrollo del sistema de bolsa de trabajo de la Universidad de Huánuco. La investigación es de tipo aplicativo y tecnológico porque utilizamos la teoría para desarrollar un producto software utilizando un nuevo enfoque en el proceso de desarrollo de software. La investigación finaliza dando como resultado una metodología personal que servirá para el diseño individual de futuros proyectos de diseño de software. Accurate determination of plant water status is mandatory to optimize irrigation scheduling and thus maximize yield. Infrared thermography (IRT) can be used as a proxy for detecting stomatal closure as a measure of plant water stress. In this study, an open-source software (Thermal Image Processor (TIPCIP)) that includes image processing techniques such as thermal-visible image segmentation and morphological operations was developed to estimate the crop water stress index (CWSI) in potato crops.
