During the quarantine established by the COVID-19 pandemic, peruvian families extended their hours of attention to television, and demonstrated a preference for programs that present topics related to religiosity and domestic violence. Based on a systematization of audience ratings in Lima and six regions, the perception of young university students regarding the reasons for this preference was investigated. A survey was applied to 100 young university students about the rating registered between March 15 and June 30, 2020, of the soap opera “La rosa de Guadalupe” (in Mexican and Peruvian versions) and the “Nunca más”. This article presents the results of an investigation that tests an alternative program to improve reading comprehension, the direct instruction of reading strategies, the use of different types of texts, and where the teacher cedes control of the process were taken as guidelines reader to student gradually. The research was of an applied type, with a quasi-experimental design, working with 44 second-grade high school students from public educational institutions, to measure the study variable of applying the Demonstrating what we learned-Reading test developed by the UMC. The results show us a significant difference between the control and experimental group, proving its effectiveness in increasing the level of reading comprehension and in the development of their abilities.

Objective: To examine second-year Pedagogy students' perceptions of interculturality and sustainability in their academic programs at a public university in São Paulo, Brazil. Methods: A quantitative, descriptive, non-experimental, and cross-sectional approach was used. The population consisted of 300 students, from which a sample of 100 was drawn. A structured questionnaire based on a 5-point Likert scale was used to collect data on students’ perceptions regarding the integration of these topics into their education. Results: Students perceive the inclusion of interculturality in the curriculum positively, highlighting its role in fostering cultural understanding and respect. OBJETIVO Investigar associação entre participação no programa de assistência alimentar e sobrepeso/obesidade, segundo nível de pobreza. MÉTODOS Estudo transversal com dados sobre 46.217 mulheres não gestantes e não lactantes, de Lima, Peru, obtidos de pesquisas, com representatividade nacional, nos anos de 2003, 2004, 2006 e 2008-2010. A variável dependente foi o sobrepeso/obesidade e a independente foi a participação no programa de assistência alimentar. Esta investigación intenta disminuir la atenuación de ruido en controladores lógicos programables a través de la implementación de un filtro adaptativo. Para ello se eligió el algoritmo LMS (Least Mean Square) como herramienta matemática para conseguir una solución al problema de cancelación de ruido. The social programs to combat poverty have been under permanent observation both by the beneficiaries of these programs and by the criticism they received for the political use that was given to them. Two major issues aroused interest in the study of these programs. First, because, despite the investment from the public treasury and the contributions from international cooperation for the strategy to combat poverty, the problems that persisted showed the poor focus of the investment, the loss of objectives, the leaking of aid and the dispersion of the programs, in addition to the serious problems of administration of the resources. This research is basic of a quantitatively approach, which design was pre-experimental, and participants were 14 students.
