The research hereby aims to design a Teaching Program Model based on the Communicative Approach upon the Basic Level of English as a foreign language for adult learners focused on undergraduate educators of Cesar Vallejo University, at Chiclayo Campus, according to their learning preferences. In order to achieve this objective, a pretest has been settled to measure the knowledge level of the English language regarding the participants that constitute the sample and thence a questionnaire was adapted to gather their preferences on the learning strategies in relation to this language. The theoretical foundations addressed are the Communicative Approach, Constructivism, learning styles, andragogy, and the learning-teaching process on a teaching approach. An amount of 179 undergraduate educators constituted the population, and the sample, constituted of 100 educators, was selected through a ...

In the last decade the multicore processors had emerged with the comeback of the symmetric multiprocessing (SMP) after a long decade in which the based OpenMPI clusters had dominated the high performace processing world. Actually, we have in the market 2, 4 and 6 multicore processors; the Cell BE processors with a Power Processor Element (PPE) and 8 vectorial processors called Synergistic Processor Element (SPE), and graphics processors which have from 48 to 448 cores dedicated to numerical tasks. In the present work, we show our experience in the interaction with these processors, discussing the programming techniques and the future possibilities for making low cost numerical tasks.

The education of programming has between its main objectives, the development and the formation of skills on the part of the students, who make possible the resolution of problems of the school, professional or of the practical life taking into account the different resources that offer the languages of programming. In the training course of computer teachers, this process has some characteristics that distinguish it. The teachers to be must develop the skill and at the same time to appropriate of the necessary procedures to direct this process in the school. This article presents the main results obtained regarding this topic during the teaching learning process of several subjects of Programming in the training of Informatics teachers, with the systematization of living experiences, during nine years.

This study analyzes factors that allow local officials to overcome design distortions generated during the process of registering beneficiaries of the «Vaso de Leche» Program in a context in which these beneficiaries are powerful social actors who have a capacity for collective action. This study was conducted between 2002 and 2010 in Villa El Salvador, a district of metropolitan Lima. Villa El Salvador municipal authorities selected beneficiaries without considering the target population as established by the official regulations. This variation from established norms is understood in this study as a «design distortion». Starting in 2004, this distortion was reduced with the introduction of a registry for the program that did follow official norms. In the literature, control mechanisms are highlighted as a key strategy for correcting design distortions. This study suggests an altern...

The objective of this study is to present the andragogical model and its benefits in its application to safety training in Peruvian mining. Based on the andragogical characteristics, this thesis explains the andragogical principles, the importance of adult education, the difference between learning and teaching of children and adults, the characteristics of adults and learning methodological strategies for the effective training of miners. Safety training in this industry is a must for the acquisition of behaviors that can reduce the number of accidents and incidents at work. The investigation is of applied type and the explanatory level; the design responds to the non-experimental design, the population was made up of those responsible for the safety training programs, and the sample was represented by thirty-one training managers and eight andragogy experts. The techniques used in the ...

Daily learning activities generate exchanges of ideas, doubts, and explanations between students and teachers. These dialogues and the possibility of asking a teacher questions disappear after classes. New automated communication tools developed with word processing programs, such as chatbots, have proven helpful in commerce and customer service. Some educational institutions are currently exploring the benefits of these programs in student care. This paper describes an exploratory study on the use of educational software and conversational agents in the teaching of programming; the objective is to identify the potential of this type of program to support teachers in the training of programmers and the accompaniment of students in their self-managed learning.

The present study aimed to: verify the effectiveness that has the Active Teaching Program in Learning Strategies students of the Faculty of Education Sciences of the National University Hermilio Valdizán, Huanuco - 2012. For which we worked with a sample of 78 students enrolled in the second year of studies, these students are divided into two groups: Basic Education and Secondary Education 42 36, the first was the control group and the experimental group second. The research developed is applied. The design was applied to two groups not equivalent or non-equivalent control group (or non-randomized control group). It was applied to the experimental group Active Teaching Program. The results were: learning strategies before and after the intervention in the experimental group was compared with the Wilcoxon test, which is to compare the positive and negative ranges of observed frequencies...

Currently there is a wide range of software to simulate robotic cell and interact with a process. This article details the procedure to simulate and program a robotic system of classification of items using the software Cosimir Educational. The project includes a window model, positions and programming. Programming is performed using the language Mitsubishi Robot Language (MRL), which is simple but with enough capacity to perform tasks with the robot. This language has commands for movement control, counters, timers, subroutines, loops and incorporates input and output signals.

The teaching of human parasitology is essential for students of health sciences, especially medicine, because it is a major global public health problem―occurring with high frequency in low-income countries―and because of its presence in countries considered developed. In this sense, it is estimated that worldwide there are 2,800 million individuals infected with soil-transmitted helminths, 20 to 30% people infected with Toxoplasma gondii, 300 to 500 million new cases of malaria per year, and nearly 15 million Latin Americans with Chagas disease, an infection caused by Trypanosoma cruzi. This narrative review article analyzes information available in digital repositories on aspects of the traditional educational program of human or medical parasitology using descriptors or keywords closely related to the topic. The reviewed articles were mainly those published in peer-reviewed, index...

Fetal life is characterized by the ability to respond to environmental factors. Nutrition is the most important environmental factor influencing development processes by regulating epigenetic mechanisms. Identifying the role of dietary factors that modulate and remodel the fetal epigenome during development, including the methyl-group donors, is of great importance. Epigenetics studies inherited changes in gene expression not related to modifications in the DNA sequence. Folate metabolism regulates the supply of methyl groups; therefore, eating disorders may influence regulation of epigenetic mechanisms. The crucial role of folate in cell division and homocysteine conversion has been conclusively demonstrated. Because epigenetic processes are one of the pathways in fetal programming, abnormal folate delivery may lead to fetal abnormalities and risk of chronic diseases in adulthood. The o...
