The Unified power flow controller (UPFC) is the most important contribution of the power electronics in the modern Electrical Power Systems. The UPFC is able to decouple the control of the active and reactive power sent trough the transmission line. This control is performed byinjecting in series with the transmission line a voltage with regulated magnitude and phase, generated by a PWM voltage source inverter (VSI). When the current flow in the line originate in the inverter an active and reactive power. The active part of the power require to be eithersupplied or absorbed by a device, e.g. a second inverter. In this paper, simulation result obtained with a fundamental model of UPFC connected to a simple AC transmission system, and a control system base on "dq" transformation necessary to obtained the P and Q decoupled control ispresented.

Through this research we seek to carry out the study and characterization of a passive harmonic distortion filter applied to the protection of a distribution SS.EE located inside a manufacturing plant. The main purpose is to design the filter based on the internal parameters of the electric transformer, such as its capacitive and inductive reactance, and filter optimization using the particle swarm heuristic method called the bacterial forage algorithm. The passive filter uses the transformer's own capacitance and an external one to tune the rejection band in the frequency range of the harmonic currents. This article presents a detailed analysis of the Ruling issued on July 24, 2024, corresponding to Case No. 0026-2021-PI/TC, which establishes the limits of the sanctioning authority of the Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic. The document examines the aspects and principles that must be considered when the regulator defines or structures conducts that constitute infractions in any matter. The objective of the article is to explore and highlight the delimitation of the sanctioning authority of public entities, with a special focus on the Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic (CGR). In addition, the regulatory framework for the creation of infringing conducts is evaluated.

The present work shows the simulation results of the study performed on a system that improves the factor power of a network and diminishes the harmonic distortion of the current consumed by AC drives, giving the network the additional capability of energy regeneration. In order to improve the energie quality of the system, a three phase voltage source inverter is used instead of the classical diode-based rectifier. In this article, I study the effect of aging of neighbors on local organizations in San Felipe, a middle-class neighborhood in Lima, Peru. I elaborate on this effect by using the case of the control of public space in the neighborhood. I conducted participant observation during a year. During that year, I observed the dynamics of local organizations’ meetings; I interviewed 46 residents of different characteristics; and I observed a large amount of situations andcontroversies among actors in San Felipe’s public space. I find that senior residents are the ones who impose their point of view about the neighborhood’s fortune. A framework for pricing Asian power options is developed when the underlying asset follows a jump-fraction process. The partial differential equation (PDE) in the fractional environment with jump is constructed for such option using general Itô's lemma and self-financing dynamic strategy. With the boundary condition an analytic formula for the option with geometric average starting at any time before maturity is derived by solving the PDE and the option with arithmetic average is evaluated in Monte Carlo simulation using control variate technique with the help of the above analytic solution. The rural coast an andean highlands of Peru have high wind potential and on the contrary zero electrical services, in this scenario the provision of electricity by small wind turbines is a strategy solution.
