This research was aimed at determining to what extent factors prior to university admission, motivational factors, and institutional experiences explain the academic persistence of students in the University Leveling Term (CIU) at the Simon Bolivar University - Coastal Campus. An explanatory-type quantitative study was proposed, which involved a non-experimental cross-sectional retrospective causal relationship design. The sample consisted of 101 students (50.5% female) with an average age of 17.90 years (SD = 2.37). The study found a significant relationship between some variables explaining academic persistence, which were: a) having a lower orientation toward academic goals; b) a higher score on the maladaptive pattern; c) a higher score in the perception of the Mathematics professor’s evaluation; and d) a higher score in the final performance. This paper identifies the determinants of employment for rural young people aged 15 to 29 from the National Survey of Youth (Enajuv 2011), the first such survey representative of Peruvian rural youth. Data from this survey shows that rural unemployment is half of the urban rate, and that participation rates in labor markets are higher for rural youth. The pattern is different for rural young women, only 62.1% of whom provide labor to the market. The results, from a logit model, show that the decision to enter the labor market is closely linked to the decision to study and to undertaking unpaid family work. Moreover, the high percentages of youth engaged in unpaid family work (39% for men, 42% women) seem to show that the decision to participate in the labor market is made at the household level and not individually.

Paracoccidioidomycosis is a systemic mycosis caused by the dimorphic fungus Paracoccidioides brasiliensis, with a high incidence in Brazil and Latin America. The disease is clinically, classified in a juvenile - acute form and a chronic adult form. The primary lesion starts in the lungs through the inhalation of Paracoccidioides brasiliensis through the respiratory tract. It may spread hematogenously and lymphatically to other organs, as well as the skin and mucous membranes. Sabiendo que los instrumentos tradicionales del vals criollo son la guitarra, el cajón y la voz, el presente trabajo analiza cómo son adaptados los patrones rítmicos propios de este género musical en la elaboración de un arreglo instrumental para cuarteto de cuerdas. Para ello, se hace un análisis musical de los patrones rítmicos que son ejecutados en el cajón y, en relación con ellos, un análisis de los toques rítmico-armónicos ejecutados tradicionalmente en el acompañamiento de la guitarra. El centro del trabajo es mostrar cómo se distribuyen las voces entre los instrumentos del cuarteto, de tal manera que conserven la textura y el estilo rítmico propios del vals criollo. Puesto que se trata de un trabajo orientado a la labor artística, se estudiará el caso del vals Callejón de un solo caño.

This article analyses the process of cultural mediatization of celebrities, taking as a case study the self-presentation of the singer Rosalía (@rosalia.vt) on the social network Instagram. For this purpose, a double quantitative and qualitative analysis has been carried out of the 449 publications made by the singer between 1-1-2018 and 31-7-2020, the period in which she achieved international fame with the release of the album El Mal Querer. The descriptive statistical analysis of this sample allows us to determine the singer's posting patterns, the categories to which she associates her image and the use she makes of the affordances of this social network. The iconological analysis of the sample allows us to determine the cultural references that Rosalía associates with her image within a globalized, urban and flamenco-inspired context. The true umbilical cord knot has an incidence at birth of up to 1.22 %. During prenatal ultrasoundscanning, a cloverleaf pattern, the hanging rope sign, fixed loop, cord loop or cyclone sign may be observed. A clinical case of prenatal diagnosis of true cord knot with good perinatal outcome is reported. We present the case of a 28-year-old female patient at 33.1 weeks of gestation. The ultrasoundscan showed a cloverleaf pattern, a hanging rope sign and a fixed loop in the umbilical cord,confirming the suspicion of a true cord knot, as shown by color Doppler and 3D imaging. Weeklyfollow-up with Doppler ultrasound and non-stress testing was conducted. A cesarean section wasscheduled at 37 weeks, resulting in a newborn weighing 2,870 grams and measuring 47 cm, withno signs of asphyxiation. MATERIALS AND METHODS: A descriptive, retrospective study developed in the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics Hospital Nacional Cayetano Heredia during the period July 2003 to June 2004. The medical records of 139 patients were evaluated, indicating end gestation and who had administered one dose of 25 micrograms of intravaginal misoprostol. RESULTS: 113 vaginal deliveries, of which 85 (61.2%) occurred before 24 hours was obtained, showing a shorter time in multiparous (17.4 ± 10.4 hours) versus gilts (21.1 ± 13.3 hours); 58 (41.7%) patients required only 1 dose of misoprostol to have a vaginal birth. Este estudio encuentra como objetivo principal determinar la prevalencia de los patrones y factores del consumo del Ibuprofeno en pobladores de los distritos de Chilca Versus El Tambo – 2019. Respecto a la metodología de secuencia de estudios, fue de tipo transversal, prospectiva y según el nivel fue explicativo. This case report describes the orthopedic-orthodontic treatment of a 15-year-old adolescent attended the Dental Center at the University of San Martín de Porres, indicating that his chief complaint was the appearance of his smile. The patient presented a straight profile with a protruding lower lip and a class III skeletal malocclusion (ANB, -2 °), with class III occlusal relations, moderate-severe crowding, right posterior and anterior crossbite, and dentoalveolar compensations.
