A responsible parenthood program located in parochial clinics of several slum areas, initiated in April 1967 and oriented within a Roman Catholic approach is described. Educational aspects receive major emphasis through a system of catholic couples, social workers and family educators. These act giving information on moral as well as medical aspects of responsible parenthood. Oral contraceptives have been provided to 4,028 women for up to two years post-partum for child spacing. Additionally a rhythm clinic is also in operation. Fertility data as well as dato on side effects of oral contraceptives is provided.

This research had as objective develop, implement and validate lexicons (write to the dictation of words and sentences to assess mastery of the phonological path and write words to assess the visual route spelling), a program of stimulation of the psychological processes of the writing: syntactic process (ordering and complete words, placing punctuation) and planning of measured Scripture through the construction of a sequence of stories and the drafting of a descriptive and narrative text. The sample was comprised of 111 students in 2nd and 3rd grade primary school (56 of the control group and 55 of the experimental group) of two state educational institutions of Callao. This paper proposes a methodology (using Object-oriented data modeling) to use geometrical entities such as “Point” (Punto in Spanish), “Polyline” (Polilínea in Spanish) and “Polygon” (Polígono in Spanish) using an abstract way using their properties and some functions upon themselves, in order to use them in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Programming in an easier way to represent geographical entities. El presente artículo propone una metodología (usando el modelado de datos orientado a objetos) en la utilización de entidades geométricas tales como Punto, Polilínea y Polígono de una manera abstracta con el fin de usar sus propiedades y algunas funciones para luego ser usados en los Sistemas de Información Geográfica (GIS en sus siglas en ingles) de una manera automatizada y entendible en la programación y/o automatización de algoritmos facilitando su aplicación para la representación de entidades geográficas. Al final del presente artículo se expondrán algunos ejemplos sencillos de la implementación de cada abstracción para su mejor entendimiento.

This research was aimed at determining to what extent factors prior to university admission, motivational factors, and institutional experiences explain the academic persistence of students in the University Leveling Term (CIU) at the Simon Bolivar University - Coastal Campus. An explanatory-type quantitative study was proposed, which involved a non-experimental cross-sectional retrospective causal relationship design. The sample consisted of 101 students (50.5% female) with an average age of 17.90 years (SD = 2.37). The study found a significant relationship between some variables explaining academic persistence, which were: a) having a lower orientation toward academic goals; b) a higher score on the maladaptive pattern; c) a higher score in the perception of the Mathematics professor’s evaluation; and d) a higher score in the final performance. Teaching “soft” skills to technical people is just as important as learning “hard” skills. Improvisation techniques can also be used in teaching technical concepts such as cybersecurity, agile development, database design, programming concepts, and most importantly how to better one’s communication skills. In an age where rapid changes have become the norm, improvisation techniques can be used to help navigate the new challenges of the next generation careers, global interaction, and technologies. These techniques can easily be incorporated in other methodologies such as creative problem-solving and design thinking. There are clearly defined and flexible rules for improvising, which make it easier for technical persons to learn and use in their daily life and career.

El objetivo del presente estudio fue evaluar el efecto del programa de inteligencia social para mejorar la gestión de la Universidad Peruana del Oriente, 2018.
