Mexico is one of the leading citrus producers worldwide. This work presents an analysis for improving the citrus waxing process in a company dedicated to this activity, located in the town of Álamo, Temapache, in the northern part of the state of Veracruz, Mexico. This study used the ten approaches to operations analysis to find areas of opportunity where the company could improve; the implementation of lean manufacturing tools such as 5s, Kaizen, and autonomous maintenance was suggested to optimize the waxing process. As a result of this analysis, an improvement proposal was developed regarding simplifying operating procedures, improving the handling of materials, and optimal use of equipment, allowing the company to be more efficient and productive.

The inputs and outputs of this process should be clearly individualized and accepted as responsibilities of a determined business area. A new management architecture, corresponding to this scenario, is proposed and discussed in this document. A review of the computer support requirements for this process is undertaken. The required logic is also explained, highlighting the problems of corporate culture that arise in response to these changes and how they should be avoided. The common mistakes that companies make facing this need and the key success factors for an adequate deployment are also pointed out.

In the field of databases, the lack of traceability of transactions or operations in a database is vital to respond to incidents that may originate within them, such as the alteration of unauthorized information. This article proposes an auditing model to mitigate risk using Oracle's object and transaction auditing approach. Finally, a laboratory was implemented in which the proposed model was deployed, ensuring the information's confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

The purpose of this work was to analyze the working memory like a cognitive model envolved in lexical tasks and individual differentiation on capacity of Reading. The subjects were 163 students of public and particular schools. In this study we elaborated a new “reading span test” agreement with suggestions from Daneman and Carpenter (1980), adapted to children students. That instrument was correlated with the subtest of Number from WISC, inverted form. The validity assessment between both tests was made with Spearman’s coefficient of correlation. The consequence of that assessment showed rRHO = 0,47; it should prove both tests contain the function of processing (or computation) proper of the working memorysystem. Then, that “reading span test” is an adequate instrument to measure individual differences about capacity of reading only in similar subjects like those we studied.

Cucumis dipsaceus " hedgehog gourd ", is a plant species of the family of cucurbits considered as weeds in our region, whose fruit has secondary metabolites of industrial and pharmacological importance highlighting among them the flavonoids, glycosides, alkaloids, tannins and saponins. Separation by dense means, alkaline treatment and flotation. The accelerated digitalization process has exposed the inadequacy of traditional tool-based IT support. In response, generative chatbots powered by large language models have emerged as a potential solution, although their actual effectiveness remains under debate. This research presents the benefits of using telemetry in the operations management of a high-production open-pit mine located in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. Caterpillar’s telemetry systems called Vital Information Monitoring System (VIMS) were used to monitor trucks via input device signals (sensors and switches), providing action alert messages for the operator through a visor in the cockpit. The processes that will be subject to control are: fuel supply, load imbalance, access conditions, and temperature of the brake cooling system. An interface was developed with the IntelliMine (Modular Mining Systems) fleet management system for mining operations management. A system that identifies the type of problem was implemented, as well as the most efficient means for its resolution and localization in real time.

This research evaluated the impact of Operations Research in the optimization of logistics processes in companies in Benguela (Angola). Using a quantitative approach, representative companies from the logistics sector were selected and surveys and record analysis were applied to characterize their processes and detect areas for improvement. Mathematical models of linear programming, simulation and queuing theory were developed to optimize aspects such as route planning, inventory management and resource allocation, calibrated with real data.
