Richard Susskind’s Online Court is no longer just an ideal, but a policy for implementing and developing the judiciary alongside technology. Its application in the Brazilian legal system has been proposed, applied, improved, and constantly refined by the National Council of Justice. The aim is to understand the structuring legal concept of the Virtual Court, created by Richard Susskind, to identify its premises, foundations, and pretensions. It then shows how Susskind’s Virtual Court has been applied in the Brazilian legal system through the Justice 4.0 program. Finally, the current policies are briefly analyzed to verify their compatibility with due process of law. Thus, the research problem that guides this article and the proposed objectives can be expressed by the following question: has the Justice 4.0 Program complied with the foundations and fundamental precepts of Richard Sus...

In the field of education and technology companies, online judges play an important role in the development of programming skills because on these platforms students must solve challenges using specific programming languages. However, the sheer number of coding challenges available can be overwhelming for students, leading to frustration and loss of interest. To resolve this situation, recommender systems can be an effective solution. However, programming judges have not delved far enough into this area. Therefore, this research focused on evaluating six artificial intelligence techniques through a cloud-based architecture for the prediction of the level of difficulty from the statements of the problems to be coupled to a recommendation system. To validate the experiments, a real CodeChef programming judge was used and the experiments were evaluated through statistical tests. The results...

Endoscopy is a competitive field in clinical practice, in which skilled endoscopists are in high demand. The learning process for Junior Gastrointestinal Endoscopists (JGEs) is difficult, quite long, and technically demanding. This directs JGEs to seek additive learning sources, including online sources. The purpose of this study was to determine the frequency, context, attitudes, perceived benefits, drawbacks, and recommendations for using YouTube videos as an educational platform among JGEs from the uses'prespective. We disseminated a cross-sectional online questionnaire from January 15th to March 17th, 2022, and recruited 166 JGE from 39 different countries. The majority of surveyed JGEs (138, 85.2%) were already using YouTube as a learning tool. The majority of JGEs (97, 59.8%) reported gaining knowledge and applying it in their clinical practice, but 56 (34.6 %) reported gaining kno...

This paper is a semantic-lexicographic description of the gambling game known as poker in online mode. The objective of the research is to provide an onomasiological lexicon of the terms used by users of online poker applications based on the theory of semantic fields. In this sense, we use a terminological methodology that consists of grouping lexical entries into hyperonymic and holonymic categories, so that we start from a concept to arrive at the hyponymic and meronymic term, respectively. The analysis was performed on the basis of lexical samples taken from online poker rooms, from video tutorials published by game broadcasters and enthusiasts, as well as from bibliographic sources collecting them (manuals and glossaries). For this purpose, a corpus is compiled, the terms are conceptually organized and defined according to seven semantic fields: bet, expression, money, move, player,...

This research review presents the results of the analysis, an explanation and an application of the concept of satisfaction for online learning in a university degree program developed for people with work experience. It is a univariable descriptive study, based on a mixed, intersubjective approach, type, carried out with data collection through surveys and virtual interviews. The Blackboard Learn platform is used, which is the actual virtual environment for learning. The information gathering instruments are applied, using the aforementioned technological means, on the 801 students of the year 2014, majoring in International Business, Marketing and Commercial management, Business Administration and Accounting. The results obtained indicate that the study variable, satisfaction with online learning, has been validated for the "University Programs for People with Work Experience" (CPEL, i...

Background: online gambling (bets, casino games, poker, etc.) is an activity that is spreading worldwide, even in countries where it is not yet legalized. Although the situation in Latin America is very heterogeneous, it is possible that, as online gambling is developed and promoted, addiction problems arise. Goal: this paper describes the treatment protocol for a young man with sports betting addiction. Method: the treatment proposal consisted in a cognitive behavioral therapy which focused on deconditioning of gambling situations; training of skills needed to prevent relapses and overcome risky situations; information on gambling risks; change of attitude towards gambling; and promotion of a healthy lifestyle incomp...
