Purpose. The main objective of the research is to examine whether the possession and the consumption of the service of a mobile telephone by the families of rural zones has improved their wellbeing in the last 10 years (2007–2016). Design/methodology/approach. A quantitative analysis of panel data is proposed in order to analyze the effect of the use of the mobile telephone in rural zones by region of Peru during the last 10 years and capture the unobservable heterogeneity during the said period. El mobile journalism (MOJO) o periodismo móvil es una modalidad periodística que está en auge, pues usando el smartphone y sus apps hoy el periodista desarrolla su labor profesional. El estudio tiene como objetivo conocer las apps que utilizan los periodistas en diversos formatos, así como las ventajas que ofrecen éstas y el smartphone en el ejercicio del MOJO. Se aplicó una metodología mixta. Para el estudio cuantitativo se encuestó a 63 periodistas, y para el estudio cualitativo se entrevistó a cuatro entrenadores móviles. Los resultados muestran que los periodistas utilizan más las apps de video y comunicación. This study is based on a large-scale project examining mobile phone use among young Latinos in six different countries: Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, the United States, and Uruguay. Following the uses and gratifications tradition as a theoretical framework, researchers used a two-stage research design involving both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies to analyze how young adult Latinos use their mobile phones, and the perceived gratifications obtained from their use and comparisons to other forms of technology. A total of 1,320 subjects were surveyed across the six countries, yielding a rich data set that is only partially examined in this particular paper. The results indicate similarities and differences among the six counties and offers both theoretical and practical findings, as well as suggestions for future research and investigation.

On the basis of the current context of use of mobile devices by adolescents, the need arises to establish the theoretical and practical criteria to promote family communication based on this reality. From a quantitative, descriptive and interpretive study, theories were identified that support the insertion of these devices as well as those that describe their use as objects of conflict and family intrusion.It was concluded that, in the early adolescent stage there is a moderate extension of use that increases progressively with age, and the need to design proposals that guide families about the advantages and risks that the use of these devices generate.

This study deals with the use of mobile device affordances in news applications. It aims to identify how media groups take advantage of the devices’ native resources to offer informative content and services, such as the weather forecast. To that end, all the newspaper applications associated with the Grupo de Diarios América (GDA), an entity that gathers publications from 11 countries of the region, were analyzed. The result revealed that most newspapers take advantage of the potential provided by affordances to their applications in a residual way. Although mobile phones are the main form of Internet access in the continent, we found newspapers without an application in our sample, which portrays a still challenging scenario in the face of new mobile technologies.

This study shows the estimates of emissions from mobile sources in the districts of Chaupimarca, Yanacancha and Simón Bolívar, in the Province and Department of Pasco. The methodology is based on the International IVE Model that estimates atmospheric pollutants based on three components such as: 1) Emission factors, 2) Vehicle activity, and 3) Distribution of the vehicle fleet. It was necessary to collect data from the vehicle fleet in the mentioned area to quantify the components and thus obtain an emissions inventory. The results of the emission of pollutants are as follows: CO is 24 047.31 Kg / day, NOX is 2 309.49 Kg / day, VOC is 1 602.19 Kg / day, SOX is 119.76 Kg / day and PM is 32.81 Kg / day, for a vehicular population of 4,500 units and an average travel magnitude of 527,362 km. Despite the numerous efforts made to reduce the use of automobiles as a daily mode of transportation, their presence continues to increase in certain contexts like Latin America. The objective of this article is to examine some factors that explain the intensive use of cars in Mexico's large cities. The study is based on a statistical analysis of the Household and Environment Module and the National Household Survey conducted by the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (Mexico). The findings reveal that the possession of mobility resources, such as cars, plays a significant role in explaining the number of vehicles used weekly, and that socioeconomic variables such as educational level or socioeconomic status are also key. La tesis estuvo orientada a determinar la influencia del uso de los dispositivos móviles en la mejora de la creatividad de los estudiantes de la Institución Educativa Inicial N° 429, Concepción – 2019. El tipo de investigación fue aplicada, de enfoque cuantitativo, con un nivel descriptivo. Asimismo, el diseño de la investigación fue de tipo pre experimental, al tener pre y post prueba. La muestra de estudio estuvo conformado por 33 estudiantes. El tipo de muestreo fue el no probabilístico intencional. La técnica para recabar la información fue la encuesta y su instrumento el cuestionario validado y con un nivel de confiabilidad. The present project is about the implementation of an autonomous mobile robot designed for logistic tasks in different areas of a company, university, etc. This robot is able to navigate autonomously in real environments, you just need to specify the initial position, the grip map of the world and the target locations, and the robot will generate automatically the optimal path to reach the target positions, and then will follow this path while avoiding obstacles such as persons, trash bins, etc. These characteristics allow that our robot can be used in logistic tasks where the robot needs to carry loads from one place to another.
