Objetivo: Conocer las prácticas y creencias que poseen las familias de la comunidad de Sacsamarca–Huancavelica 2021. Metodología: Cualitativo, prospectivo. Resultados: Las prácticas son: les dan caldos de cordero, cuy, pescado y gallina; amarran su cabeza con pañuelo blanco y rojo; amarran la cintura, un rollito de lana en su ombligo y ortiga; les dan infusiones; soban su cuerpo con ortiga; amarran el dedo medio con lana roja; no la dejan salir 8 días después de su parto. Las creencias son: creen que al darles caldos recuperarán fuerzas y habrá producción de leche materna; creen que al amarrar su cabeza no se abrirá sus huesos, evitarán dolores; creen que al amarrar su cintura su madre no se subirá a su cabeza en busca de su hijo y no sentirá dolores; creen que al darles de beber infusiones les ayudará a expulsar toda la sangre mala; creen que al sobar su cuerpo con ortig...

Objective. To analyse the factors associated with the initiation of early breastfeeding of the National Mother Teaching Hospital "San Bartolomé", September to October 2017. Material and Methods. Observational, analytical, retrospective and cross-sectional study. We surveyed 191 women cases who started early and 191 controls. Regarding the analysis of the data, absolute and relative frequencies were estimated for the qualitative variables, and in the case of the quantitative variables, means and standard desviation were estimated; to find the association, the Chi-square test was used and Odds Ratio test.
