Meta-analyses show that the correlations of approaches to learning with academic achievement are low. However, only one study has controlled these correlations in the presence of intelligence. Our study investigates the incremental validity of the surface and deep approaches taking cognitive abilities as control and applied the multiple linear regression and CART regression tree method in a diversified sample of high school students from Minas Gerais, Brazil. We found a prediction of 20.37% and 35.20% of the outcome variance, through the linear regression and CART, respectively. Our results show that although cognitive abilities are more important than students’ approaches, the approaches have incremental validity and important roles as predictors of academic achievement.

Software development using the agile approach with SCRUM presents itself as an alternative to traditional methodologies, offering incremental, iterative features and continuous code delivery that ensure a product adaptable to changes. However, this approach faces challenges in terms of secure development, as threats and vulnerabilities may not be adequately addressed due to tight deadlines and frequent changes in requirements. In this context, a framework for secure web software development using Agile Methodologies (SCRUM) is proposed. Based on the literature, eight security activities have been selected for this purpose and integrated into the development process, considering their level of agility and cost-benefit. The validity of this proposal was confirmed through an instrument that gathered the opinions of 45 experts in the software development industry in Peru.

La presente investigación, cuantitativa, de diseño preexperimental, exploró cómo las técnicas lúdico-retóricas favorecieron el desarrollo de la producción escrita de textos narrativos en estudiantes de la Universidad Privada del Norte. The Childhood Executive Functioning Inventory (CHEXI) is a widely used test in educational settings to identify deficits in Executive Functions (EF). This study aimed to adapt and evaluate the Spanish version of CHEXI in a sample of participants from Ecuador (n = 467). The study measured understanding using slightly different versions of the instrument, one initially administered to 373 participants and another withthree item changes used to assess 144 new participants. Cronbach’s alpha (α) and McDonald’s omega (ω) were used to assess internal consistency. Absolute (χ²/df) and incremental fit indices (CFI, TLI, SRMR,RMSEA) evaluated construct validity. The two-factor structure of CHEXI (Working Memory and Inhibition) was successfully replicated, demonstrating a good fit and high internal consistency. Objetivo: Determinar la validez y confiabilidad psicométrica del instrumento SERVQHOS en pacientes del Servicio de Medicina del Hospital III Daniel Alcides Carrión de EsSalud Tacna, Perú. Materiales y métodos: Se realizó un estudio transversal con una muestra de 1080 pacientes. La validez de contenido se analizó mediante juicio de expertos y el índice V de Aiken. Para evaluar la validez de constructo, se emplearon los análisis factorial exploratorio y el confirmatorio (AFE y AFC). Resultados: La pertinencia del análisis factorial fue respaldada por un índice de Kaiser–Meyer–Olkin (KMO) de 0,961 y por la prueba de esfericidad de Bartlett estadísticamente significativa (p < 0,001). This paper examines the importance of the constitutionalization of the judicial career in Peru. The text focuses on the need for restructuring to increase the transparency and efficiency of the national judicial system. To this end, the author approaches, from a critical perspective, the reform proposals that have been prepared by working groups with the aim of determining progress in the structuring of a true judicial career in the country. Given the relevance of this task, it is important that future constitutional reforms are clearly articulated and that their implementation is effective. The tendency to make superficial regulatory changes that do not have a significant impact on judicial practice is therefore questioned. Consequently, a reorganisation is required to strengthen the justice system in a way that is comprehensive, efficient and respects constitutional principles.
