The communication between organizations and their stakeholders has evolved as the waves of competitive challenges that have marked technological innovations (Kanter, 2006). Since 2006 it has become necessary not only to increase interaction particularly via social media, but also to incorporate aspects of organizational responsibility and its foundations in values (Kotler, Kartajava, & Setiawan, 2011) which directly influence in building its image (Capriotti, 2009) and reputation (Villafañe, 2004). This article analyzes the image and reputation of some private organizations in Mexico through the study of the activity they have in this social media. The results of this research suggest some conclusions regarding the importance of strategy in the use of Twitter as a basis for building the reputation of the organizations which must recognize the communication as a two-way process that ...

The fi nding of imagoes of the Megaselia sp. (Rondani, 1856) (Diptera: Phoridae) is described, which presented luminescence in their abdomen with small fl ashes of light (intermittent) in the same specimen, with yellow, green and red colors. Firefl ies are, of the arthropods, the closest to this type of manifestations, where the luciferin-substrate reacts with the enzyme luciferase to produce fl ashes of light (bioluminescence), however, it will be necessary to deepen if they were isolated cases? Is this case a biochemical reaction? If it is a new species with light properties? If they were substances from their diet that shine by themselves? or other new mechanisms or processes, not yet described. However, the emission of light in the abdomen of these three adults is an adaptation or evolution that will allow it to stand out for possible functions of attraction, reproduction, demonstrat...

This thesis is a study of the notion of "facial attractiveness" in the machine_x000D_ learning with the SVM context. To this end, we have used statistical evaluations_x000D_ made to a group of people who rated front face photographs of women qualifying_x000D_ each on a rating scale according to its appeal. The machine learning technique_x000D_ used is Support Vector Machine (SVM). Then the images were trained in SVM on_x000D_ its respective degree of beauty. By using Chi-square test, we compare the_x000D_ distribution of scores of human evaluators with SVM results show that there is no_x000D_ significant difference between the two groups. The results clearly show that facial_x000D_ beauty is a universal concept, which can be learned by a machine. Analyzing the_x000D_ accuracy of the machine in terms of beauty prediction as a function of the training_x000D_ data size indicates that a mach...

Images are beginning to proliferate through visual devices within society, since they are transmitted daily in people’s daily lives. Young schoolchildren are no exception, since a large number have the facility to reproduce, produce and consume the visual content that is transmitted through these media. However, this interaction could influence the construction of identity and the perception of the real world of the youngest, because these visual representations are accompanied by stereotypes, ideologies, gender roles, among others. Faced with this context, the school must pay attention to this current event. In this sense, the visual arts, which studies the analysis of artistic images, could focus on the critical analysis of the images currently transmitted by the visual media in order to broaden their perspective towards this event. Finally, this research aims to describe the contrib...

This project questions the dialogue between photography and poetry. The image summons a poem and this, in turn, summons another image within the framework of an unfolding of questions about the conditions in which we inhabit the world. The sequence dialogues with that which concerns oneself and with that which opens and closes life in dynamics of pleasure and suffering. The idea is that both registers overdetermine each other to correspond, to produce a friction, to mark the opacity of an experience, to open lines of meaning, to point to that which has no word or to try to border on something unnamable. What is the dialogic behind the monologue of artistic production? The project emerges as an aesthetic exploration of two people who have tried to re-articulate different discourses and who have sought another way of conversing.

The article deals with the ways of using visual technologies, photography and video, to promote the city of Ayacucho as a tourist destination, an identity builder, reminiscent of memory and a sense of belonging to the city. Pay attention to the use, made for this purpose, of architecture as an image technology through which it seeks to produce temporary simulations and sentiment structures related to the colonial period. Argues that the identification and use of colonial aesthetics or not in the buildings of Ayacucho serves to establish social classifications, distinctions and exclusions among those who identify themselves as «huamanguinos» and «new huamanguinos». The article is divided into two parts. The first deals with the videos that promote Ayacucho as a tourist destination and the second with the use of photographs in exhibitions and soc...

VV (Vaccinia virus) is one of the most complex viruses, with a size greater than 300 nm and more than 100 structural proteins. Its assembly involves sequential interactions and important rearrangements of its structural components. The BSC40 cells were infected and then selected by light fluorescence microscopy and subsequently imaged under the X-ray microscope under cryogenic conditions. Tomographic tilt series of X-ray images were used to produce three-dimensional reconstructions showing different cellular organelles (nuclei, mitochondria, RE), together with two other types of viral particles related to different stages of immature vaccinia (IV) maturation and (MV) mature particles; tests with witaferin showed links with actin, which prevents polymerization and elongation of the filaments; causing poorly packaged or aberrant virions, which inhibits the progression of the viral infectio...

This article deals with the representation of urban space in television fiction through an approach that, starting from the works around the moving image and its modes of production, incorporates contributions from critical studies on cities. Through a content analysis that involves 10 successful series, the text distinguishes three modulations: one where the city and its meaning are built by appealing to the previous cultural conditions of the place—from historical events and difficult legacies to issues settled by picturesqueness, tourism or popular tradition—; another where the elements and characteristics of the location are exploited, conveniently amplifying, attenuating or retouching its different edges in favor of the story; and a third that appeals directly to the viewer and his background to bring ideas or external realities closer to the work itself and produce a dialogue b...
