Arsenic is a metalloid present in ores containing copper and causes a severe occupational disease. The main occupational exposure occurs in copper metallurgy. It enters the human body by the respiratory, digestive and skin tracts. It is transformed into dimethylarsinic and methylarsonic acids that are excreted by urine, feces or skin. Its trivalent compounds are cumulative and might cause cancer in several organs. Arsenic binds with a covalent link to mercapto sulfur groups and it uncouples oxidative phosphorylation, suggesting a non-hydrolytic inhibitory action in mitochondria. Some fish and shellfish contain high amounts of organic arsenic. In subjects unexposed, in agreement to the diet inorganic arsenic is <5 ug/g creatinine. This article addresses the methodological dynamics of ethnographic work in the context of social resistance to the granting of mining projects embedded within the extractivist model in the Altiplano-Wirikuta region (Mexico). We relate the design of the research object with the role of the researcher, and both with access to the groups, as dynamic processes of interaction that adjust according to social dynamics that cannot be fixed into static categories. We present this autoethnography as a methodological reflection that seeks to offer tools for the praxis of local resistance, reaffirming the role of anthropology as a discipline with the potential to co-influence and engage with resistance movements seen as drivers of change in the face of extractivism and other global threats.

In this research, a mathematical model was developed for the application of R-IEDs technology on FPGAs in configurable power systems, aimed at supporting renewable energies, teleworking and mitigating environmental impact. The scheme is oriented to the design of regenerative systems, with cycles of reuse, recycling, dynamic reconfiguration and feedback of by-products or energy, in correspondence with the circular model. The proposed method is based on a study of environmental impact factors and technological alternatives, for the design and configuration of intelligent electronic devices, in a distributed scheme, based on FPGA for dynamic updating. The nature of the present study was mainly to determine the relationship between the performance of environmental impact assessment and the quality of the environmental certification service for energy projects in the period 2016-2019. A survey was applied to the users of the environmental certification service for energy projects in the aforementioned period. The socio-environmental crisis, understood from various perspectives, drives the need to reorient the role of the environmental educator. This study aimed to implement Environmental Education (EE) workshops to raise awareness and strengthen the knowledge of primary and secondary school students about the proper management of Municipal Solid Waste (MSW). A mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative and quantitative methods, was adopted. The research was carried out in two stages: the first involved training higher education students as environmental educators; the second consisted of implementing participatory workshops in six educational centers.
