The elections held in 2016 to designate both the new president and the respective congressmen were the starting point for the application of semi-structured interviews that deepened the meaning of politics by the youth population in Lima. Through the university youth discourse reflections known at the time, the statements about politics and its necessary restoration have been detailed. The consulted university youth has an active participation around the institutional change of their respective university representatives, so they visualize a different and renewed policy. In summary, it is concluded that this is an avid approach to migrate towards new ways of redesigning politics in Peru.

The Acordada mutiny and the looting of Parián, depicted the electoral failure of 1828 and were a significant reflection of the economic, political, and social instability that Mexico had been experiencing since the promulgation of the first federal constitution four years earlier. This constitution sanctioned a diffuse and indirect electoral process as a result of a poor adaptation of the American system. This article discusses situations legally made and transitional and permanent laws of the University Law N*30220 to be applied to the renewal of the university authorities in the process of adaptation to the new legal order established by this rule in force since 10 July 2014. This analysis takes as references Resolution Nos 001 and 002-2015 SUNE DU / EC and the corresponding “guide for the adaptation of governance of public universities under the Transitory Supplementary Provision of Law N*30220”.

Social networks have become essential means of communication and have modified the concept of political communication, allowing new audiences to continuously track both candidates and parties during different election processes. This paper presents a systematized study of the communication that took place in social media during the first round of the 2022 Costa Rican electoral process (February 6th). Education is a process that involves in its achievement a series of crucial moments for the development of the individual, one of them being the continuity of higher education, which is initially established through the choice of a university career, whose action could constitute as a complex act. This article provides a theoretical review of the models based on Bandura’s social cognitive theory and its variants applied to career choice, in which various individual variables such as gender and age intervene; psychological such as self-efficacy and self-regulation of learning; socioeconomic, academic and family, which together must be considered to provide adequate and relevant guidance to students who wish to study a career as part of their life project.

The holding of the parliamentary and presidential elections in Peru during the pandemic caused by COVID-19 was a controversial issue, to the point that its suspension or postponement was put into debate, especially if we take into account the effects that could have generated both in the right to vote as in the right to health. In this context, various constitutionalists, academics and international organizations pointed out that it was necessary to strengthen democratic institutions by exercising the citizen's right to vote, but it was necessary to have biosafety protocols to avoid further contagion. The article analyzes the publications (post) of the presidential candidates in the 2016 Peruvian elections, through a content analysis. It has proceeded to make a capture of publications (post) that show some emotion in a period of fourteen days before the elections, both in first and second round. It can be seen that the candidates have little use of emotions, and that their recurrence is associated with expressing positive emotions over negative ones, not highlighting the search for confrontation with another candidate; also, a certain pattern is observed in the use of emotions but only in the case of female candidates.

The main objective was to study the frames that El Diario and La Razón used in the journalistic articles of their web portals. Why does the reader vote the way he/she votes? Voter satisfaction in choosing a candidate encompasses a series of indicators and makes this variable multidimensional in nature. In order to construct the electoral profile index, factor analysis is used, which takes into account the difference between what the reader expects and what he/she perceives in the electoral process. This study establishes the main determinants of the voter's decision process in Metropolitan Lima and then constructs an indicator of the corresponding electoral profile.

This text reviews the literature on frame analysis, paying attention to the relationship between frames and politics in electoral processes. The studies on level frames and on generic frames are discussed. The types of frames are analyzed: level frames and generic frames. The use of both frames is compared in the Peruvian elections of 2014 and 2016, emphasizing the presidential elections of 2016. Likewise, it is analyzed if the use of these frames show differences between the types of media. The study was based on the analysis of 5112 electoral news from 20 programs and radio, press and television news spaces. The findings show that there is a pattern of coverage of the use of frames that persists from one election to another.
