Internal combustion engines are the most commonly used engines in the automotive world. However, these engines lack an overheating prevention system against cooling system failures when they exceed their normal operating temperature. Less experienced drivers (users) usually do not notice overheating until the engine stops, generating economic expenses in engine repairs. As such, this paper describes the design and construction of an electromechanical device to prevent engine overheating. This device is installed in a vehicle and operates independently from the electronic control unit (ECU); it records the coolant temperature and controls air admission to the engine of the vehicle in which it is installed. El objetivo del estudio fue evaluar el efecto de un aislante térmico para la reducción de la hipotermia intraquirúrgica en caninos y felinos en la Unidad Didáctica Clínica Veterinaria, UNISARC (Risaralda, Colombia). Se tomaron datos de temperatura preoperatoria e intraoperatoria en 200 pacientes (140 caninos y 60 felinos) sometidos a ovariohisterectomía u orquiectomía. Se analizaron las variables especie, sexo, temperatura corporal con y sin uso de aislante, y temperatura en periodo preoperatorio e intraoperatorio de los pacientes. No se observaron diferencias significativas en el empleo del aislante térmico en los pacientes caninos (p>0.05), pero lo hubo en los pacientes felinos (p<0.01) a favor del uso del dispositivo.

The risk identification and control methodology was chosen from the results of a scoping review in the relevant literature.

In this work we make the design and testing of a new mechanical element coupled to the vane of a small wind turbine, such that self-regulates and controls the instantaneous power generating wind during overspeed. The rural coast an andean highlands of Peru have high wind potential and on the contrary zero electrical services, in this scenario the provision of electricity by small wind turbines is a strategy solution. INTERVENTIONS: Previous informed consent, in 15 patients bearers of non-complicated adnexal simple cysts transvaginal aspiration of the cyst was done by using a low-cost handmade device (guide) connected to a portable ultrasound machine endovaginal transducer. The research addresses the link between emotional dysregulation, nomophobia, and Instagram addiction in Chilean university students. A quantitative study of correlational scope was conducted with a non-experimental cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 218 university students from south-central Chile, who answered the Difficulties in Emotional Regulation Scale (DERS-E), the Nomophobia questionnaire NMP-Q, the Berger Instagram Addiction Scale (BIAS) and reported some parameters of their Instagram account activity. The results account for multiple correlations between nomophobia and Instagram addiction with all dimensions of emotional dysregulation. This article presents the design and implementation of an electronic device to assist visually impaired people in reading printed texts. This mechatronic system uses a Raspberry Pi V3 camera mounted on glasses to capture images of printed texts. The images are processed through Optical Character Recognition, and the extracted text is converted to audio using a Text-to-Speech synthesizer, allowing the user to access the visual content audibly. The device is based on a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ microcontroller for data management and control of the electronic components. It is designed to be portable, ergonomic, and energy-efficient, with a long-lasting battery.
