El debate sobre el concepto de aprendizaje móvil y la irrupción de los dispositivos móviles está presente en la educación superior. Esta investigación se desarrolló desde un enfoque cualitativo, con la participación de ocho docentes universitarios a través de un grupo de discusión. El objetivo fue comprender los siguientes aspectos: (a) el concepto de aprendizaje móvil de los docentes; (b) su perspectiva del uso de smartphones o teléfonos inteligentes y tabletas en las aulas; y, (c) las implicaciones en la relación docente-estudiante ante la incorporación de estos dispositivos en la educación superior. There is a debate about the concept of mobile learning and the emergence of mobile devices in higher edcation. This research was developed from a qualitative approach, with the participation of eight university faculty members through a discussion group. The objective was to understand the following aspects: (a) the faculty’s concept of mobile learning; (b) their perspective on using smartphones and tablets in the classroom; and, (c) the implications in the teacher-student relationship upon the incorporation of these devices in higher education.
