We study a system formed by M dimers through half-filled two-site Hubbard model, with two electrons. Our approach use the third version of Nonextensive Statistical Mechanics as tool for calculating thermodynamic and magnetic parameters such as entropy, internal energy, magnetization and specific heat. In the computer simulations, we vary the q entropic index values between 1 and 2, such that, q = 1.0, 1.4, 1.7 and 2.0. These values are interesting to study small magnetic systems. We find the critical temperature regions in simulations with the simple Hubbard model, i.e. without the intersite interaction. For other side, adding this additional term, we notice an enlargement and shifting of the thermodynamic parameters comparing with the obtained from simple Hubbard model; even more, we found in some cases the absence of the critical temperature regions.

In this paper the application of the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is described, and then the service providers cloud computing is identified. The first activity in multicriteria decision- making is to establish the factors that are important to that decision. This has been determined as criteria in selecting cloud providers: accessibility scalability, performance, security. The SEPROCCAHP v01 model has been applied for three groups of students in the course of business logistics. Two groups of students have selected Google, and a third group at Microsoft. The results differ because it depends on value judgments issued in the peer evaluation criteria and alternatives to select.

The objective of the research is to present a model of knowledge management for micro and small enterprises engaged in the sale of computers and software; for which we have considered the identification of activities that generate knowledge, the mechanisms that contribute to communication, communication control and integration of knowledge; as well as the identification and understanding of the contextual elements associated with communication, control and generation of knowledge. These elements were analyzed through the study of five cases in qualitative research and thirty respondents in quantitative research. The interview, direct observation, documents and surveys were the main data collection methods used in the study and the empirical validation of the model of knowledge management. The results indicate that the generation of knowledge depends on the technical personnel of enterpri...

An important part of the development of process engineering is the calculation of the material balance, which is often very time consuming, especially when dealing with complex problems, because it involves analyzing a population of input variables and multiple simultaneous equations. This article presents a solution methodology through a computer program to facilitate calculations.

The research paper presents a computational model by Cellular Automata (Cell-DEVS) applied to the transmission of Dengue disease, spread by mosquitoes to a susceptible population. This model will have a multilevel approach to consider exogenous interactions such as temperature. This will allow to be able to visualize the critical points where the mosquito reproduction is much greater, and thus carry out control strategies.

The need of many companies to improve their effectiveness and efficiency translates into the demand for migration to Cloud Computing, not being exempt from this the higher level educational institutions which record and store a large amount of data requiring investment in resources in all related to information technology. The present work has as main objective the design of a migration model to Cloud Computing which was called PMC to facilitate this process, this model was applied to an educational institution, where goals such as minimizing costs were achieved, obtaining results without delays and within the planned costs, the process time was reduced, obtaining short-term results showing the satisfaction of the users in the use of the systems, a survey was applied to the administrative personnel who interact with the systems that were migrated. The work was carried out considering a n...

Computed tomography (CT) is one of the major technological advances used in medicine to diagnose diseases, but it is also a technique used in other areas, such as eroespacial chemistry, radio astronomy, etc.. The goal of CT is to reconstruct the inside of an object without the need to open it, this process is known a nondestructive testing. To achieve this purpose, the TC uses suffering atenución X-rays to go through said object with said internal information of the object is reconstructed, this is an inverse problem. We got out of the theory and we focus on the practice showing concretely how the inside of an object using an algebraic method known as algebraic reconstruction for a specific event is reconstructed.

Multisensory integration is a fundamental neural mechanism crucial for understanding cognition. Multiple theoretical models exist to account for the computational processes underpinning this mechanism. However, there is an absence of a consolidated framework that facilitates the examination of multisensory integration across diverse experimental and computational contexts. We introduce Scikit-NeuroMSI, an accessible Python-based open-source framework designed to streamline the implementation and evaluation of computational models of multisensory integration. The capabilities of Scikit-NeuroMSI were demonstrated in enabling the implementation of multiple models of multisensory integration at different levels of analysis. Furthermore, we illustrate the utility of the software in systematically exploring the model’s behavior in spatiotemporal causal inference tasks through parameter sweep...

Zika virus spreads to people primarily through the bite of an infected Aedes aegypti species mosquito. But it Zika can also be passed through sex from an infected to his or her sex partners and it can be spread from a pregnant woman to her fetus. Zika continues to spreading geographically to areas where competent vectors are present. Although a decline in cases of Zika virus infection has been reported in some countries, or in some parts of countries, vigilance needs to remain high. In this work, we propose a mathematical model that uses diffusion-advection equations to study the impact of the Zika epidemic. We present a numerical scheme linking finite elements (FEM) with finite differences to solve the model. The computer simulations are performed for Paramaribo and Santa Ana that have different demographic characteristics and allow us to extend the study to other regions.

In the present paper, a computational model is performed by Cellular Automata (Cell-DEVS) that describes the transmission dynamics of Varicella in a closed group of people where the disease can be spread. From the perspective of mathematical epidemiology we have the mathematical model SEIR of W.O. Kermack and A.G. McKendrick that represent the dynamics of the epidemic, in our case Varicela, where the computational simulations are performed both by the Numerical Methods and the Cellular Automata to analyze the development of the disease.

This article reports the state-of-the-art of the implementation of finite element modeling for clay masonry walls under lateral loads. Important work had been developed at CIMID Laboratory of Structures in clay walls under lateral loads and, according to the review, nowadays, researches mainly report experimental tests with their numerical nonlinear models. This process is important to validate and complement their results. Bench-mark model developed in 1994 at Chiba University had been selected to evaluate all work developed at CISMID in these recently years. The evaluation uses three variables: 1) The study evaluated include experimental results for masonry walls, (2) The study evaluated use nonlinear models for interaction between mortar and bricks, and (3) The study evaluated record their results with graphics showing the failure process. Finally, evaluate these models with fin...

In the present paper, the effect of interdependence and contagion will be performed in the purchase and sale decisions of investors in a Black-Schole financial market, where there are two financial assets: stocks (risky assets) and bonds (risk-free asset); and two investor states: lover and risk aversion; under different probabilities of contagion. This economic-financial phenomenon could be modeled by a system of stochastic equations; however, not all stochastic equations have a closed solution, so it is decided to perform computational simulations to analyze their numerical behavior. In this sense, a computational simulation will be performed using cellular automata.

In order to facilitate 3D object processing, it is common to use high-level representations such as local descriptors that are usually computed using defined neighborhoods. K-rings, a technique to define them, is widely used by several methods. In this work, we propose a model for the distributed computation of local descriptors over 3D triangular meshes, using the concept of k-rings. In our experiments, we measure the performance of our model on huge meshes, evaluating the speedup, the scalability, and the descriptor computation time. We show the optimal configuration of our model for the cluster we implemented and the linear growth of computation time regarding the mesh size and the number of rings. We used the Harris response, which describes the saliency of the object, for our tests.

In different sectors of human activities, organizations are adopting information technology (IT) more intensively, exposing sensitive and confidential information of employees and customers. This situation makes public and private entities to develop standards and regulations to protect these information assets, ensuring confidentiality, integrity and availability. As a result of the study, a Balanced Scorecard model that links the critical security controls of the CIS is formulated and supported by an office IT application as a preliminary tool that facilitates the presentation of the results. Such results highlight that the highest proportion (80%) of the preliminary application that occurred in five institutions agrees with the proposed model and its usefulness for monitoring and managing security controls.
