It is important for small growing textile companies to make key decisions based on accurate and reliable information about the present production process and how future changes could affect them. Using traditional mathematical methods it is not possible to accurately and reliably reflect the real stochastic behaviour of processes and activities carried out in this industry. There are, however, information technologies such as the computer simulation technique that allow such information to be obtained taking this behaviour into account.he research carried out a simulation study of the garment making process of a small textile company in order to propose a better distribution of resources by experimenting with a simulation model of the process, In addition, some of the quantitative information obtained with this technique is presented. The results obtained show that making changes in assi...

A study was proposed in order to standardize the production processes of safety pants and shirts of a company in the city of Pelileo, Ecuador. A mixed approach was employed for the research: a situational analysis of the production process was conducted for the field study, while the product quality was assessed using a sample of 114 internal and external clients. The process was assessed using the 5M criteria (machines, labor, methods, materials and environment). The findings show that production processes did not meet the quality parameters due to a lack in quality control and insufficient infrastructure. 61 % of clients stated that quality control was lacking. 70 % of participants did not approve of the time allotted to each operator for their activities. It was concluded that it is necessary to develop a quality control procedure in order to ensure the quality of the final product.

The article describes the main characteristics of Neoliberalism and its effects on Social Sciences, with references to the key themes of that ideology. It also describes the way it became «common sense» in economic thinking and its effects on State management, public policies and precarious basic education and health services, among others. Thus, for almost three decades, Neoliberalism isolated Social Sciences, especially Sociology, because of a supposed «efficient pragmatism», revealing the individualism, the minimization of the State and the absolute law of the market in the reproduction of society. However, three decades later, and especially in 2020, in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, all the fallacies of «Neoliberal Thought» have been demonstrated, creating new conditions for a return of Social Sciences, with the capacity to understand and to analyze the new social proces...

Over the years, the motion study method has been proved to be a powerful tool for process standardization in the textile industry, which enables determining the standard time for the performance of a specific task. Moreover, the processing time plays a pivotal role in the management of the production processes when applying the time study technique. Besides, the application of the assembly line balance constitutes a primary goal of manufacturing companies for producing vast quantities in the shortest possible time with satisfactory and efficient results. This research was conducted in a textile company that manufactures denim clothing for women, located in San Juan de Lurigancho District in Lima, Peru. It aims to reduce unproductive time in the production line caused by a poor productive process, excessive movements and long waiting times, by means of applying the method engineering and ...

The systems aim to reduce errors and costs. The objective of the information was to streamline the commercial management processes in the Rosita clothing store. Regarding the method: It was the SCRUM methodology, carried out with PHP.v8 and Laravel v9 framework, as well as MySQL Workbench 10.4.25 database; For the mobile, the Xamarin 5.9 development framework was used with the C# language, with 19 user stories stacked in 3 Sprints, executed in 98 days, at the end of which the modules will be provided. To differentiate the hypotheses, the Shapiro Wilk and Kolmogorov-Smirnov-Lilliefors normality tests were used, and inferential statistics were used using the student parametric test for paired data with a significance level of 5%. The research design was pre-experimental. The population was 14 people, the sample for the customer service time indicator was 603 clients, for information search...

The objective of the research is to establish the bases for the standardization of the Peruvian population clothing sizing by means of optimizing resources, processes and supply, adjusted to the satisfaction of the market needs. Surveys of entrepreneurs, interviews with experts and anthropometric measurements revealed important results. Based on international standards and expert recommendations, 28 body measurements were carried out, achieving a method for taking manual body measurements.

In recent years, studies of consumer behavior have focused on demonstrating that individuals value the experience of consumption. Given this reality, the experiential marketing formula has managed to solve this need by proposing actions that generate consumer experience and maximize the value of products and services allowing the consumer to establish an emotional, rational or sensory connection with brands during the purchase process. This article is an analysis of the marketing experiences offered by retailers of clothing and footwear from major shopping centers in Piura. The objective of this work is to define the experiential formula offered by each store of modern retail of the two main shopping centers and determine wich stores give importance to the consumer experience.

The Peruvian manufacturing industry is one of high impact in Latin America with excellent quality materials and massive productive quantities making it an important industry for the country itself. Even so, with this sector being so significant, the prevalence rate of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) remains high for companies with little capital and no investment capacity, such being the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) of the industry. Either due to mishandling of machinery or repetitiveness of labor, musculoskeletal disorders are a prevalent problem for manufacturing industries with little to no information on ergonomic ways of control as well as having a Lean focus to add value to the process. This paper seeks to find the validity of a model to reduce absenteeism and exposure to musculoskeletal disorders using ergonomic and Lean tools to promote safe practices and the preser...

The sector of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) of clothing in Peru faces significant challenges that affect its efficiency and competitiveness, such as high production cycle times, delays in transfers due to inefficient plant design, lack of standardization of defective processes and products. These problems negatively impact profitability, product quality and customer satisfaction, making it imperative to develop improvement strategies. This study implemented lean manufacturing tools to address these inefficiencies. Systematic Layout Planning (SLP) and Poka Yoke were applied to reorganize the layout of the packaging area and prevent errors in the production process. The 6S methodology was used to improve the organization and safety of the work environment, while time and movement studies optimized the activities at the workstations. These tools were systematically selected and applie...

This research will serve as a precedent for other studies that aim to improve the production processes of textile and apparel companies by proposing a preventive solution for excess fabric waste that results from the production process. The study will also provide insights into reducing the amount of excess fabric waste in the marking and cutting areas via the manufacture of additional clothing items and accessories. Consequently, by efficiently allocating resources to make optimal use of seasonal material, costs can be reduced, ultimately leading to improved profitability for the textile knitwear company.
