Objective: Evaluate the surface roughness, weight and color of a composite resin, submitted to two finish and polish systems, after contact with beer and rum. Materials and methods: 63 BrilliantTM NG (COLTENE, USA) composite resin discs of 10 mm in diameter and 2 mm thick, after 24 hours of permanence in distilled water, randomly divided into three groups (n: 21) for polishing using Sof-flex (3M-USA) discs and fine-grained diamond burs (KG-Sorensen, Brazil) and third group without any procedure, for each sample the initial measurement was made in weight, roughness and color. Peter Joseph Hocking Weeks, or Pedro Hocking as he was known in Lima, was born in Pucallpa on July 7, 1938 and died in Lima on October 31, 2022. Pedro Hocking did not have a scientific background, but he was recognized as a naturalist for his contributions to the knowledge and documentation of Peruvian birds. Pedro Hocking was part of a generation passionate for biodiversity, for whom each locality visited was a new world that contained unknown species and that did not have field guides or current technological resources to identify in situ those that were already known. It was a time when the collection of specimens was the basic tool to know the biodiversity of a locality and the main activity of the expeditions. Although his main interest was birds, his contributions were not limited to them but included other groups of fauna as well.

This research aims to improve productivity and customer satisfaction in the automotive maintenance sector in Peru, which faces problems such as inefficiency in after-sales services and poor inventory management. The methodology involves the integration of lean manufacturing tools—including 5S, material requirements planning (MRP), standardized work, among others. The implementation of these tools seeks to optimize workspace organization, improve inventory management, and streamline service operations. The main results revealed a 20,37 % reduction in downtime, a decrease in stockouts from 11,81 % to 3,58 %, and a reduction in cycle time from 3 hours and 15 minutes to 1 hour and 36 minutes. Objective: To identify the scientific evidence of nursing interventions in family health in families with older adults with Alzheimer's. Method: Integrative review in PUBMED, Scopus, Web of Science, Virtual Health Library (VHL), Springer Links and ScienceDirect databases, using the health sciences descriptors (DECS): Family Health, Aged, Alzheimer, Family Nursing and Controlled Before-After Studies; the Boolean operator AND was used to join the descriptors. The pharmaceutical industry has undergone changes in the management of its logistics processes, making it vulnerable to disruptions such as the Covid-19 pandemic. This study compares the scientific production on the pharmaceutical chain during the period 2010-2021, divided into two periods, through a bibliometric review of research indexed in Scopus and Web of Science. The main authors, institutions, countries, journals and thematic areas are identified, and the studies of greatest scientific relevance are analyzed. Objectives: To estimate the impact of intervention through telephone social networks in improving Pap smear screening in districts of the Lambayeque region. We studied 8 women transplanted kidney, who completed 10 pregnancies. All grafts were from living persons and 75% were family. The age of pregnant women ranged between 17 and 33 years. The interval between the graft and the pregnancy was 4 months to 5 years, in 3 cases less than one year. Immunosuppression during pregnancy was performed with prednisone (0.15 to 0.20 mglKgldía) and Azothioprina (1.5 to 2.0 mgldía). The most frequent maternal complications were pregnancy-induced hypertension (7 cases), including one case of eclampsia. Objective: To identify risk factors for depression after and ischemic ictus (DII) in adults. Methods: A non-matched case-control study was carried-out including 81 cases and controls, respectively recruited from the neurologic outpatient clinic of Hospital Santa Rosa de Lima from September to December of 2018. Clinical and epidemiological data were gathered and stored in a data base. The Hamilton Depression Rating Scale was used to diagnose depression. Odds rations and 95% CI were calculated and a multivariate logistic regression analysis was used. Death by suicide is a painful and traumatic event for the family and social environment of the deceased. The literature refers that grief for suicide is totally different from grief for other types of death, being this type of grief more prolonged that involves psychological and physical problems, being necessary the support of health professionals. Therefore, a reflective analysis was developed on death by suicide and the various consequences that go through family members. The analysis of the study is organized into the following topics: the actions of family members after a suicidal event, the physical and psychological consequences, grief according to the stage of life and the importance of posvention as an intervention. Postpartum hemorrhage is an important cause of maternal mortality. The rupture of a uterine artery pseudoaneurysm, a rare vascular lesion of unknown prevalence, produces secondary postpartum hemorrhage without an evident cause. If not properly diagnosed and treated, it can be life threatening. Etiology includes vascular trauma during cesarean section, vaginal delivery, curettage or hysterotomy. Its clinical presentation is varied and often associated with other more frequent gynecological and obstetric pathologies. An electronic search was carried out in the following databases: Medline/PubMed, Scopus, LILACS as well as manual search in the main orthodontic journals (American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, The Angle Orthodontics, Seminars in Orthodontics) and Google Scholar. Objective: To assess the development of acute renal failure in patients undergoing elective surgery for benign prostate hypertrophy. Material y Method: The study was performed in patients from the Urology Service in 2 de Mayo National Hospital from September 22011 to February 2012. The AKIN definition was used for acute renal failure and data was collected from clinical records. The description used means, standard deviations, percentages, and rates. In order to find an association between the occurrences of acute renal failure categorical variables, bivariate and multivariate logistic regression tests were used.
