This research seeks to address the current problem in reference to the growing waste of perishable foodstuffs caused by deficiencies in distribution due to the various mishaps on the transport routes from the provinces to the capital, which is the main market for farmers. With the analysis of selected fruits, characteristics and uses of the reuse of these will be demonstrated in reference to the replacement of leather, generating a sustainable and economic product.

Two methods of dehydration of strawberries (Fragaria chiloensis 1 .) ha ve been studied: spray-drying and freezedrying. It has been found that the optimum sequence for the drying operation is as follows: selection/classification , washing, steaming, pulp-extraction, conditioning and freeze-drying. The efficiency over the total solids obtained with this method is 86.48% compared to 66.02% when using spray-drying. The strawberry pulp was conditioned by water dilution of 1:1. For spray-drying, the pH was adjusted to 4.1 with NaHC03 , and for capsulating purposes were used: 1% CMC and 1.60% gum arabic by weight of pul p. For the dehydration by freeze-drying it was used: 1.2% CMC, 2.0% dextrine anda control sample without any additives. lt was found that for dehydration by spray-drying, 1.60% of gum arabic anda temperature of 1 802C for the hot air at the inlet should be u sed. Objetive. Communicate the first report of Klebsiella pneumoniae producing carbapenemases. The study: Microbiological diagnosis using phenotypic methods: double disc synergy, modified Hodge test, immunochromatography and carbapenemic inactivation. Findings: Four isolates (urine 3 and blood 1) of carbapenemase-producing K. pneumoniae were confirmed, which also presented a MIC of 4 and> = 8 for ertapenem and> = 16 µg / mL at imipenem and meropenem. Conclusion: Standardized phenotypic methods are useful in the confirmation of carbapenemases and with it an alternative for the best taking of therapeutic options and epidemiological surveillance.

This article has two parts: the first is a proposal for the analysis of the role of women in the economy and in the peasant social organization, in the second the reader is offered the analysis of a case study, using to the extent of the elements mentioned in the first part as much as possible. We did not use them in their entirety since the data that make up the case study were not collected within the context of a specific investigation on peasant women.

This research aims to demonstrate the social, technical and economic feasibility of manufacturing a nutritional product for children, and using part of the profits to support a social program to reduce chronic child malnutrition in the country’s provinces. To this end, industrial engineering tools were used to calculate the market demand, the technical specifications of the product, the size and design of the manufacturing plant, the economic andfinancial analysis, and the social impact.

The following work attempts to broaden the perspective regarding beliefs considering that traditionally only beliefs of the conscious and linguistic type have been considered. In other words, it has been assumed that human cognition only creates beliefs from our ability to produce language. Contrary to this, the article suggests that cognition implies a spectrum of beliefs that also encompasses those that are neither linguistic nor conscious, and that emotions are beliefs as propositional survival programs. In order to accomplish this, theories of the philosophy of the mind, contemporary psychoanalysis, Buddhist psychology and neuroscience are treated. Taking all in consideration, we can assure that the amount of beliefs we have is much wider than those of which we are linguistically aware.

A member of the genus Alteromonas sp. (strain N22.C) isolated from marine neuston and substance-producer which inhibit growth of ichthyopathogenics was characterized phenotipically by means of morphological, physiological and biochemical conventional tests. To determine the chemical nature of the inhibitory substance, raw extracts of supernatans from cultured strains were precipitated with increasing concentrations of Ammonium Sulphate up to 70% and filtered through columns of Sephadex G-25. Assays by Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate–Polyacrylamide Gel Electrophoresis (SDS–PAGE) revealed that the antimicrobial substance is a proteinaceous compound with a molecular mass of approximately 34000 Da, which lacks sugar associated residues of it. The main causes of these disasters should be noted: 1) insufficient or improper environmental impact study (EIA), 2) the failure of waste storage structures ( Tailing dams, tailings piles leaching, etc.). 3) No using best available techniques (BAT) in mines and metallurgical activities, 4) errors in the design of facilities, 5) failure to use appropriate security measures according to the risks involved.
