Objetivo: Construir un modelo predictor para la conversión de pacientes sometidos a colecistectomía laparoscópica de emergencia. Material y Método: Analítico, observacional, retrospectivo de corte transversal en 203 historias de pacientes sometidos a colecistectomía laparoscópica de emergencia en el Hospital Víctor Lazarte Echegaray durante el periodo 2016-2017. Resultados: La frecuencia de conversión fue de 18.7% del total de pacientes. En el análisis bivariado, la edad (p=0.001; OR=10,56, IC95%=4,73-23,56), el sexo masculino (p=0.001; OR=10,98, IC95%=4,67-25,82), IMC (p=0,001; IC 95%= 1,23-3,10), leucocitos ≥18 000xmm3 (p=0,001 OR=5,95, IC95%=2,77-12.81) mostraron diferencia estadística significativa (p<0.05). Background. The Peruvian population during Covid-19 has been exposed to stressful and traumatic events, associated with close experiences with suffering and death; but these experiences have also generated positive psychological growth. The objective was to develop a model of structural equations to determine if coping with stress is a predictor of post-traumatic growth in a Peruvian population. Method. The design was predictive cross-sectional. 310 people participated, 58 % men and 42 % women, aged 18 to 63 years (M=31.6). Objetivo: Determinar si la proteína c reactiva es un predictor de riesgo para la infección de sitio operatorio en pacientes apendicectomizados a cielo abierto del Hospital Belén de Trujillo. Material y métodos: Estudio analítico de cohorte histórica, en el cual se incluyó 188 historias clínicas de pacientes apendicectomizados a cielo abierto, de los cuales se dividieron en 2 grupos: 94 pacientes con proteína c reactiva elevada y 94 con proteína c reactiva normal al momento del ingreso por el servicio de emergencia. Las pruebas estadísticas fueron el riesgo relativo (RR) y la regresión logística. El objetivo de la presente tesis es determinar los predictores de severidad de la violencia de pareja en mujeres peruanas - ENDES 2017, mediante la aplicación de la regresión logística ordinal. Según su diseño es no experimental, transversal de tipo correlacional y para ello se contó con una muestra de 18184 registros con datos preparados mediante el CRIPS-DM (datos secundarios) realizadas por la Encuesta Demográfica y de Salud Familiar (ENDES). El modelo estimado es adecuado y útil en la aproximación de la predicción de la severidad de la violencia contra la mujer, con un ajuste global del 83.6% de clasificación correcta de los casos de severidad. Objetivo: Determinar si el índice de shock es predictor de mortalidad en pacientes atendidos en la Unidad de Trauma Shock del Hospital Guillermo Díaz de la Vega de Abancay-Apurímac, octubre a diciembre del 2020. Metodología: Estudio relacional, longitudinal, prospectivo de corte transversal; ingresaron en el estudio 80 pacientes atendidos durante el periodo octubre – diciembre 2020. Se midió el índice de shock en cuatro oportunidades (ingreso, 6, 12 y 24 horas) y se seguía al paciente hasta que falleciera o cumpliera las 24 horas en la unidad. The present study has as aim the measure of the effect of the personality over the job satisfaction. There were assessed 65 workers (74.24% male and 25.75% female) from a transportation Enterprise located in Arequipa City, with two instruments: Job Satisfaction Questionnaire by Arias and Justo (2013) and Millon’s Inventory of Personality Styles (MIPS). The results indicate low and moderate levels of job satisfaction, so as high punctuations on the personality styles such as Openness, Modification, Individualism, Sensation, Reflection, Systematization, Righteous, Conformism and Control. A census analysis of 889 neonates with low Apgar (<7) at the first minute treated at the Octavio Mongrut Muñoz Hospital from 2009-2018 was carried out, after verification of the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The EsSalud Perinatal Surveillance System (SVP) was used. The Chi square test and crude odds ratio (ORc) were used as a measure of association. Objective: To evaluate the nutritional status as a predictor of mortality in elderly people with gastric cancer. Materials and methods: An observational, prospective and analytical study which included 47 patients over 60 years of age with a diagnosis of gastric cancer, referred to the geriatric department of the Hospital Nacional Guillermo Almenara from March 2014 to October 2015. The Body Mass Index (BMI) and the Mini Nutritional Assessment Short-Form (MNA-SF) were used to evaluate the patients. Results: Forty-seven (47) patients with a diagnosis of gastric cancer were included: 33 (70.2 %) were males, and the mean age was 75.52 (SD +/- 6.88) years for males and 77 (SD + / - 7.66) years for women. Determinar el pronóstico de severidad del índice Triglicérido/Glucosa en pacientes con diagnóstico de pancreatitis aguda en el Hospital Belén de Trujillo, durante el periodo marzo 2016 a marzo 2021.
