El presente estudio tipo retrospectivo, de valor de prueba diagnóstica, tiene como objetivo determinar el punto de corte óptimo del ancho de distribución eritrocitaria para predecir un evento adverso en pacientes con insuficiencia cardiaca crónica. Para el procesamiento de la información se realizará en primer lugar el registro de datos en la ficha de recolección, a partir del cual procesaremos dichos datos usando el paquete estadístico SPSS-26.0. El tamaño muestral obtenido será de 326 pacientes. El análisis estadístico se realizará empleando el software gratuito EPIDAT para las tablas tetracóricas elaboradas en cada punto de corte, determinándose el valor diagnóstico del ancho de distribución eritrocitaria (ADE), para obtener la especificidad, sensibilidad, valor predictivo negativo (VPN) y valor predictivo positivo (VPP), con un nivel de confianza del 95%.
