This work describes and evaluates the application of a module to increase the specific abilities set in action when students resolve math problems. Such abilities are: analyzing the problem, identifying and laying out strategies, applying algorithms and revising the process that leads to the solution. The module presents problems solved by the teacher (modelling strategies) and uses the work of peers in order to consolidate and evaluate the work. The study uses a quasi experimental design with two pre defined groups, pre and post test. The sample was not probabilistic and was formed by 70 students. A test with 10 math problems was used as the instrument meant for the students to use the four strategies suggested in the module. Results show a difference in favor of the experimental group, which allows us to conclude that the module has an influence in the evaluated abilities.

Competencies in math and science should be developed in teachers to exemplify students. For example, the archaeological complex of Raqchi or temple of the God Weracocha are ruins of the Inca culture. The objective was to find how many inhabitants the Inca citadel of Raqchi housed with mathematical competence, solve problems of quantity and science, investigate through scientific methods in secondary education teachers. The study was qualitative, with a content review and analysis methodology; four teachers from the Canas and Canchis Local Educational Management Unit were formed who solved the problem from virtual collegiate meetings. The result of the first group indicates 7538 inhabitants based on the number of Qolcas and the function of the work camp. The second concerning its military role mentions 5308 inhabitants, and the third on the hypothesis of an Inca temple indicates 291 inhab...

The objective was to evaluate the effect of the application of the GeoGebra software on the problem-solving skills of two-dimensional geometric figures in a sample of 53 university students distributed in two groups (control -experimental) evaluated in two moments: before and after the intervention. . Parametric tests were used to compare independent and related pairs and nonparametric tests were used to compare between classification levels. The results showed that the post-test experimental group was the one that presented the best performance, demonstrating that the use of GeoGebra software improved the solving skills of this type of mathematical problems, promoting collaborative work, social-student integration and improvement of the classroom climate. It is recommended to extend the use of this tool with other applications that help the teaching-learning process.

We show the results of the teaching-learning experience of the Math 'Level 0' course given to the freshers at UPC who do not pass the Math 'Level Exam'. The work was based on the feedback of the learning process and it was done at the same time that the university 'methodology of competencies' was being applied. The difference was based on the feedback given on each class based on evaluations that measured their cognitive and 'procedural knowledge'(part calculus and modelling of everyday situations). The comparison with the results obtained at the end of the week in general evaluations (common for each class) were positive, which encouraged us to keep up this learning process by common agreement. At the end of the course when comparisons between each class were made we saw that 70% passed the course due to applying this methodology. The in...

The author analyzes the problem of the application of life imprisonment in the crime of rape of minors, provided for in Article 173 of the Peruvian Criminal Code. He considers that although the Peruvian Supreme Court and Constitutional Court have reaffirmed its constitutionality, in the face of exceptional situations that arise in each particular case (grounds for reduction of punishability, procedural bonuses and personal circumstances of both the victim and the aggressor), the criminal law has not provided for the possibility of reducing the penalty to limits below the legal minimum, which in many cases has led to the legal operator of lower instances, despite such assumptions, to impose disproportionate penalties, far from the principle of guilt. This had to be corrected by the Supreme Court, and a context of legal insecurity was manifested that denaturalizes the purposes of criminal ...

Three hundred fifty-seven university records of students reported as undergoing academic problems were studied between Abril 1990 and August 1996. Research was aimed at determining the contributing factors to the problem and also at designing academic support programs and psychopedagogical support actions, and others on a preventive basis. Three study areas were selected: intelligence, as assessed through the WAIS test; personality as assessed through both the GuilfordZimmerman Temperament and the MMPI Inventories; and study habit, through Brown’s Study Abilities Survey.

This work analyzes the technical problem in which the discourse of inclusive education has become through the lack of ethical responsibility of educational provision, a liberal argument that reinforces the permanent defense of rights while the conditions of oppression and domination conceived in terms of injustice continue to operate strongly in the life of each person and community. The objective of this work is to document how educational policies, knowledge production and teacher training, put on the rhetorical costume of the special or rather, the neo-special, to justify the sense of the inclusive. Although the special is a form of inclusion, inclusion is not necessarily a form of the special, it is a cultural revolution, a space for the production of other worlds, of fracture and permanent challenge of pedagogical knowledge. The lack of analytical rigor of these educational policies...

The article addresses the associative link between reason and the promise of happiness set in the illuminist ideology and questions their influence on the construction of the contemporary subject. Reflecting on the process of subjectivity and its impact in the field of otherness, it is proposed that the logical reason does not recover the truth of the subject. Psychoanalysis is presented as a key resource for reflection on the human suffering at present, given that the prevalence of diseases linked to narcissism reflects a kind of distancing of the subject inrelation to himself. Modernity, which waved opportunities for freedom emphasizing desire as a force of change, loses room to a postmodern culture that prioritizes having over being.

A didactic strategy is presented, with a problem solving approach, through mathematical modeling to the design and implementation of a product (utility model) to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The above, was realized in the topic of mathematics III, during the 2020-I semester in the Professional Career of Architecture of the National University Hermilio Valdizán de Huánuco-Peru. The research was realized by a quantitative approach, descriptive level and non-experimental design. This strategy consisted of 5 phases: phase 1: formulation of the context problem to prevent the spread of COVID-19, with a utility model using quadratic or curved surfaces; phase 2: theoretical framework and objectives; phase 3: mathematical modeling; phase 4: drawing up the utility model plans; phase 5: 3D utility model. The evaluation of the strategy was carried out through rubrics of: teacher evaluation, sel...

This article is studied the optimal control of distributed parameter systems applied to an environmental pollution problem. The model consists of a differential equation partial parabolic modeling of a pollutant transport in a fluid. The model is considered the speed with which the pollutant spreads in the environment and degradation that suffers the contaminant by the presence of a factor biological inhibitor, which breaks the contaminant at a rate that is not dependent on space and time.Using the method of Lagrange multipliers is possible to prove the existence solving the problem of control and obtaining optimality conditions for optimal control.

We studied the incidence, distribution and rate of maternal death due to abortion in Piura, a city in the north coast of Peru. In health establishments, tip to 1996, 10,7 of gestations finished in abortion. Abortion rate was 122,5 per 1000 live new horn and 8,9% of the abortions were infected. Septic abortion was the third cause of maternal death in the last 4 years, representing 18,5%, behind eclampsia mid sepsis and before obstetric hemorrhage. Maternal death due to abortion in Piura in 1996 was 41 x 100 000 ab. (27,3% of total). The Regional Hospital concentrated all the cases of maternal death due to abortion. Rate was 150 x 100 000 ab (general rate of maternal death was 552 x 100 000 ab). The Regional Hospital presented high scores of abortion cases in comparison to the rest of health establishments because of patients reference.
