Research in academic literacy has shown that scaffolding improves the reading of disciplinary texts. Included among the considered variables is the lexica. A robust vocabulary will result in better reading performance. To verify this, a semantic priming task and a reading comprehension test were applied to 31 first-year pedagogy students to establish whether there is a correlation between lexical processing and reading. The main findings indicate the establishment of weak semantic relations and normal reading performance. It is concluded that better reading performance is associated with slower lexical processing, which would suggest that readers engage in strategic operations to address comprehension tasks. This will allow for the formulation of scaffolding actions that highlight the importance of mastering the disciplinary vocabulary in order to safeguard an adequate reading task.

This article analyzes one of the discriminatory discourses that has recently acquired special relevance in the Peruvian national context: cyberterruqueo. The aim is to carry out a descriptive analysis of the phenomenon —from the political-ideological and ethnic, racial and cultural perspectives—, and to study, in the context of cyberspace, the hegemonic representations that are discursively created with respect to certain sectors of the population. In this paper we analyze the process of word formation in the literary production of Julio Cortázar. After an introductory section focused on his aim of regeneration of the Latin American novel, one of whose pillars is the renewal of the literary lexicon, the rest of the article is devoted to a detailed analysis of the procedures used by Cortázar in the creation of new words. Firstly, we study creations of a jabberwocky nature (jitanjáforas). Afterward, we attend to the use of the regular mechanisms that language offers for this purpose (derivation, composition, blending, palindromes and anagrams, etc.).

The problem posed in this investigation is that a mutual fund management company maintained traditional processes of subscription and redemption of quotas in the funds, which caused great economic inefficiencies and discontent among clients. That is why the objective of this research was to propose a proposal to improve customer service processes through the application of a digital transformation through agile methodologies such as Design Thinking and Lean Startup through quasi-experimental practical research. In this way, it was possible to increase profits and customer experience. After the implementation, it was evidenced that thanks to this, the number of AUMs and participants increased by +15% per month and +55%, since the implementation, respectively, translating, later, into higher profits for the company (+10%).

This study analyzes the concept of the word “culture” in Iranian ancient texts. The implementation is done using the bibliographical resources available to the authors. The research findings are collected from ancient texts, especially the Middle Persian texts. Research methodology has a narrative-citation nature. To understand any phenomenon, it is necessary to understand the historical process of that phenomenon. La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la efectividad del programa Lectores críticos en la competencia lectora de textos argumentativos. El estudio es de nivel explicativo, tipo aplicada con diseño cuasi experimental. La muestra estuvo conformada por 36 estudiantes del 4° grado de secundaria de una institución educativa pública de Lima-Metropolitana y se distribuyó en dos grupos: experimental y control, los cuales se determinaron a partir de criterios de inclusión y exclusión. Se aplicó un pretest antes de la aplicación del programa y un postest después de la misma con la finalidad de comparar las medias. Los resultados que se obtuvieron indican que la aplicación del programa mejoró la competencia lectora de los estudiantes que recibieron la intervención educativa.

As a translator, a witness, and a litigant, Guaman Poma well serves to describe the implementation of Spanish administrative and juridical institutions in colonial Peru. In lettered texts, as well as in black andwhite drawings found in his Nueva Corónica, Guaman Poma references the paper artifacts of Spanish juridical processes in his project to preserve native Andean cultural practices and properties. This essay examines his knowledge of legal processes, legal formats, and his program for a legacy of justice in the Andes. In closely studying exemplary texts such as the writ of amparo, cédula (decree) and permuta (exchange), Guaman Poma uses Spanish law for his Andean purposes. With attention to previous research by Adorno, Quispe-Agnoli, de la Puente Luna, and Burns, this study examines concepts of European law and history deemed advantageous for native Andeans.

Social networks have impacted society, to such an extent that in many occasions it is more important to be aware of them than any other application on the cell phone, tablet or laptop. On the other hand, the arrival of the covid-19 disease has also impacted the way students, teachers and the education system itself act. The present work aims to select the most suitable social network for higher education support, through computing with words, used to perform the process of computation and reasoning. In addition, the FLINTSTONES program is used to simulate the different models. Finally, the results achieved for each of the three social networks analyzed are presented: Telegram, WhatsApp and Facebook.

In recent years, factors of change such as the evolution of society or technology have contributed to the creation of new words in various areas, such as crime. The aim of this study is to examine the neological productivity in this area and to identify the linguistic resources used to create these new lexemes. This can be seen in the press, which is an ideal medium for the study of neologisms, because it addresses current affairs and contingencies and facilitates the introduction of new words in the language. In the present context, online reputation has become very important, so the hotel companies have been forced to create new strategies to manage areas of the network actively and continuously, since these allow them to communicate with your prospects for establishing closer relationships and so achieve a stronger reputation. This research aims to determine the strategic plan using the hotels to monitor their online reputation, taking as example the three-star hotels in Chiclayo’s city, that have a web presence. The research is qualitative type, with and emergent design, so we will focus on 07 three-star hotels in Chiclayo’s city. With the introduction of orality in judicial processes, the great challenge lies in obtaining true justice as a quality public service. What simple processes are solved in a differentiated way is not a problem, but a solution. The discussion now focuses on how to make it possible and what should be respected, beginning from the state criminal policy, the real reasons behind the reform, judicial guarantees and, finally, opportunities for improvement.
